At first, she'd thought she really liked Zorion, but now it seemed like that wasn't the case.
She was trying to use the child in her stomach to reach a higher status.
Even now, she hadn't told Zorion because she knew he was a fool. She was afraid that this idiot would expose the secret, and the baby would be killed before it was born!
She was incredibly patient.
Unfortunately, she'd run into Qiana. Ruth's dream would burst into bubbles.
Didn't Ruth want to keep her unborn child a secret so that she could successfully elevate herself to a higher status?
However, Qiana insisted on letting the others know.
Not only did she want to let Yuliana know, but she also wanted to inform Madam Quartley and Tremaine as well.
No matter how much Madam Quartley liked Yuliana, she could not ignore the fact that another woman was pregnant with Zorion's son!
When the time came, Madam Quartley would definitely ask Ruth to return to Quartley palace.
According to Qiana's understanding of Yuliana, she was not someone that could hold her temper.
She would not allow Ruth to give birth to the child in her stomach.
She would do something behind her back.
When the stage was set, a good show would begin.
A sinister smile flashed across Qiana's eyes.
"Mr. Zorion, why are you here?" Ruth's eyes were filled with astonishment.
Zorion was unhappy. "Ruth, didn't you tell me you weren't well-off? Why are you living in such a worn out place?"
Ruth didn't know how to respond.
She was afraid Zorion would feel worse if he entered the apartment, so she said, "Mr. Zorion, I'll take you downstairs."
Zorion complied.
When Ruth came out, she glanced at Qiana, who was standing at the door. Qiana said, "Ruth, you can have your conversation with Zorion. I'll wait for you upstairs."
When they arrived downstairs, Ruth immediately asked Zorion, "Mr. Zorion, why did you come with Qiana? Did she bring you here?"
Ruth didn't know why, but when she saw Qiana and Zorion appear at the door, she had a bad feeling.
She didn't know exactly what it was about, but she knew deep down that something was amiss.
Zorion said, "Qiana told me she came to see you. She knew where you lived, so I asked her to take me to you."
"Did she tell Madam Yuliana?" Ruth replied back.
Zorion shook his head and said, "No, Qiana said that my wife would be unhappy so we didn't tell her."
Ruth's expression froze. "Mr. Zorion, don't come by here again. If Madam Yuliana finds out that you came to see me, she'll definitely get angry. Stop coming here."
"But Ruth, you live in such a shabby place."
"Mr. Zorion, it is not shabby. You're the young master of a rich family, but this is good enough for a servant like me." Ruth stomped her foot and said, "Mr. Zorion, it's very late now. They'll find out that you've left Quartley Palace. You'd better go back quickly."
On the way here, Zorion had a lot of words to say to Ruth, but with the way she kept urging him to leave, Zorion couldn't get a single word in.
He stopped walking abruptly and stared straight at Ruth.
Ruth's voice softened and said, "Mr. Zorion, you should go back. It's really late."
She'd acted impulsively before. When she heard Qiana say that Zorion was attached, she had been caught up in it. She boldly asked Qiana to send a gift and a message to Zorion. After thinking about it, however, she felt like something was wrong.
Why was Qiana here to see her?
