"Where have the both of you been?" Madam Quartley questioned.
Zorion said vaguely, "I just went for a walk with Qiana."
"A walk where?" Madam Quartley felt like something was wrong.
Zorion didn't say anything.
His expression kept changing as if she was struggling. After waiting for a long time, he suddenly looked straight at Madam Quartley and said, "Grandma, please let Ruth come back."
Madam Quartley raised her voice and said, "Zorion, what are you talking about?"
"Grandma, please let Ruth return to Quartley Palace. I pity Ruth, she's all alone and I feel sorry for her."
Madam Quartley was a little confused.
Ruth had been gone for so long, and her grandson had never said anything before. Why was he suddenly bringing her up again today?
When Zorion mentioned Ruth, Madam Quartley was very displeased.
Her face turned ugly and said, "Zorion, why did you suddenly mention that b*tch? She's not a good person! Don't mention her in front of me next time!"
Zorion said, "Grandma, Ruth is not a b*tch."
Madam Quartley was left with no words.
She didn't know whether to laugh or cry because of her foolish grandson.
Madam Quartley waved her hand and said, "I don't care what she is. I won't let her come back to the Quartley Palace! Go to sleep, Zorion."
She didn't know what was going on with Zorion. She was going to ask Qiana what had happened!
Zorion still wanted to say something, but he was scared speechless by the Madam Quartley's stare.
He was still afraid of Madam Quartley.
Zorion could only go to his room. As he walked, he muttered, "Ruth is a good person. Ruth is really a good person. She's not a b*tch."
Madam Quartley was about to lose her temper because of Zorion's words, but when she heard the end of his sentence, her anger turned into helplessness.
After Zorion disappeared, Madam Quartley looked at Qiana.
Before she could ask anything, Qiana ran to her side. She looked worried and said, "Madam Quartley, I have something to tell you."
"Wasn't it Zorion's birthday last night? When I had a little too much to drink, I wanted to go to the rooftop to get some fresh air, and I saw Zorion was also there. He looked like he had lost his soul."
"I felt like something wasn't right. It was his birthday, he should be happy. How could he be down and lost? So I asked him, but he just told me about a woman named Ruth. He said that he missed Ruth very much."
"I've heard about Ruth from the servants before. I know little about her so I tried to comfort him, but he didn't listen to me at all. I also heard from the servants that during this period of time, he hasn't slept but wandered around the Quartley Palace. I'm wondering if it has anything to do with Ruth."
"I originally wanted to tell you about it, but I was worried about your age and health so I didn't dare.
I was even afraid to tell Yuliana. I was worried that she would get angry if she knew about it."
"After thinking about it for a while, I decided to visit Ruth and see if I could untie the knot in Zorion's heart. After all, I am going to marry Mr. Tremaine. In the future, Zorion will be my brother-in-law, and it would also be my concern if Zorion is unhappy."
Although Madam Quartley had not figured out what had happened yet, she felt comfortable when she heard Qiana's words.
She was old and didn't have many years left to live. Zorion was a fool, and she had been worried that Tremaine's wife would bully Zorion in the future. Now that Tremaine was going to marry Qiana, there was nothing for her to worry about.
She was a kind-hearted woman.
"Madam Quartley, when I went to see Ruth today, do you know what I found?" Qiana paused before continuing.
Madam Quartley's heart was in her throat.
She continued to ask, "Qiana, what did you find?"
Qiana whispered in Madam Quartley's ear, "I found out that Ruth was pregnant, and her stomach was already a considerable size."
