Divorce me I'm done serving you (Ayla) novel Chapter 650

Ayla clenched her fists. She bit her lip hard, fighting with everything she had to keep the tears from falling.

Troy lowered his voice, trying to stay calm. "Can't you just look at me? Just open your eyes and look at me. Give me another chance. I'm begging you. Is that too much to ask?"

Since their divorce, Ayla had always remained calm when she faced him. Her expression stayed cold. She never smiles at him. She didn't love him anymore, and that meant she had won the war.

When he saw the pain on her face, he felt a strange satisfaction.

So she wasn't untouchable after all. She could still feel hurt.

When he saw the tears forming in her eyes, his heart softened again. He stepped forward and pulled her into his arms. "I'm sorry," he said in a low voice. "But I'm not wrong. Draven isn't as good as you think. Let's just start over and give us another chance, okay?"

He held her tightly and waited. He believed that if he explained himself long enough, she would eventually give in.

But suddenly the woman in his arms began to struggle. Ayla roughly pushed him away.

Then she took out her phone and tapped the screen.

A video started playing.

It was the video Max had sent her the day she lost the baby.

Ayla spoke calmly, but her words cut deep. "The day Skyla came back, you sent her a huge bouquet of roses. Your friends were cheering and teasing you. They told you to hug her and kiss her. They even joked about the three-minute intense kiss you once shared.

"Those friends of yours knew you were married to me, but none of them cared. The way they spoke about me shows exactly how you talked about me when I wasn't around. They didn't respect me at all. That only means you never respected me either.

"That same day, I called you from the hospital. I begged you to come and stay with me while I had surgery. You hung up. And right after that, you hugged Skyla and happily welcomed her home in public."
