Family on Their Knees Heart Turned to Ice novel Chapter 795

Lillian looked up from the photographs, meeting Marcus's gaze. "What is this?"

"Funny you should ask," Marcus said. "You know we handle a wide range of business, and sometimes that includes running in the same circles as local loan sharks. Today was Bella's repayment day. They were short-staffed and asked me to send someone to keep an eye on her. I had one of my guys tail her, and he ended up sending me these."

Lillian nodded slowly. "What I want to know is, what exactly is going on in these pictures?"

"To understand that, you need a little backstory," Marcus replied. "You probably don't recognize this estate on the outskirts of town, nor do you know who lives there. Have you ever heard the name Slick Silas?"

Lillian thought for a long moment before a vague memory surfaced. "It rings a bell. A terrible reputation, right? My grandmother's generation dealt with him. He's from her era, maybe a decade or so younger?"

"Exactly. I had to pull his file to get the full picture. He started as a low-level thug, made some dirty money, and built his wealth through sheer ruthlessness. His methods are absolute garbage. Worse, at his age, he targets young girls. It's sickening. The creepy old bastard is probably so decrepit that he gets his kicks preying on the innocent. When I saw the photos of Bella stripping down in his mansion, I was floored. Bella is way too old for his usual tastes. But she walked in there like it was a routine visit. Lillian, do you think Bella might have been making money off this creep since she was just a teenager?"

"If this gets out, Bella will be ruined in Northwyn," Marcus noted. "You have the photos. Just say the word, and I'll handle the fallout beautifully."

Marcus knew all about Lillian's divorce from Sebastian. He also knew Bella was the reason Lillian's grandmother was still in a coma, and the reason Lillian had spent two years in prison. With this kind of evidence in her hands, ruining Bella would be child's play. If Lillian wanted revenge, she could have it right now.

Lillian looked at Marcus. "There's no rush. Her mother owes mine. Bella owes me and my grandmother. There's a long list of debts here, and we're going to settle them one by one. Why should she get the mercy of a quick ruin? I remember every single grievance. Just exposing her isn't enough of a revenge. She needs to lose everything gradually. She needs to watch her perfect life crumble piece by piece, realize the man she loves is a monster, confess her crimes, lose her reputation, and end up behind bars. That is the ending she truly deserves."
