The truth was completely out. Debbie knew her reputation was shattered; the fact that Old Mr. Blake despised her and her own son wanted nothing to do with her was now public knowledge. She couldn't hide it even if she tried.
But she hadn't expected to be starved half to death, only to be cursed out by this aging mistress.
For years, Debbie felt she had suffered enough indignities from the Blake family and her own son. But at least they were wealthy. At least Sebastian paid her living expenses. Taking abuse from them was one thing.
But who the hell was Sabrina? A woman who couldn't bring her a single cent in profit was daring to talk down to her? Even a saint would snap, and Debbie was far from a pushover. There was absolutely no way she was swallowing this insult.
"Who the hell do you think you are, Sabrina?" Debbie spat. "Everyone knows exactly how you clawed your way into a rich man's bed. And you have the nerve to lecture me? You have no shame! Even if I've fallen on hard times, I am still the biological mother of the CEO of the Blake Group. Sebastian might look down on me, but he still crawled out of my womb. So what if I caused some trouble? So what if I'm in debt? I still have a billionaire son. He has to take care of me! Since when do a disgusting pair of whores like you and your daughter get to bully me? I'll have you know my son is still around. Bella dragged me here because she wants me to help her drain my son's accounts, right? You need me. And since you need me, you'd better fix your attitude. Wait on me hand and foot. If I'm in a good mood, I might just let this slide. If you don't treat me like royalty, don't expect me to play nice. Don't think my only option out there is the casino thugs. I still have Sebastian. Sure, I might not get a warm welcome from him, but he can't exactly toss his own mother to the wolves. He still has to give me an allowance!"
Debbie was a seasoned fighter, and she gave as good as she got. The two women clashed viciously, hurling the foulest insults they could muster.
Sabrina's face flushed dark red with rage. She pointed a trembling finger at Debbie. "You're in this pathetic state, and you still have the audacity to be this arrogant?"
