After being thrown out of the Hart Group, Lilian completely lost it.
Her family was no longer an option.
And Ethan’s place was a living hell.
With nowhere left to turn, she had only one path remaining.
To catch the thief, you first catch the king.
As long as she could handle Damien, Grace would be nothing!
She’d found out that Damien would be at the Clarke family headquarters today.
She took the last bit of money she had and spent it all on the most daring, most revealing silk dress she could find. Then, she put on makeup that she believed made her look both pitiful and alluring.
She was going to use her greatest weapon to conquer the man at the very top of the pyramid.
The Clarke family headquarters was an imposing, magnificent building.
Lilian couldn’t even get past the main entrance before she was stopped by the receptionist.
“Ma’am, do you have an appointment?”
“I… I’m here to see Mr. Clarke.” Lilian forced a fragile smile. “I’m Grace’s sister. He’ll see me.”
The receptionist’s smile was professional and distant.
“I’m sorry, Ms. Hart, but no one is allowed up without an appointment.”
Lilian was rebuffed, seething with hatred.
But she didn’t give up.
She waited downstairs from morning until evening.
Finally, she saw Damien walking out of the building, surrounded by a group of senior executives.
“Mr. Clarke!”
Lilian threw caution to the wind and rushed forward, blocking Damien’s path.
Felix and the bodyguards immediately stepped in, cutting her off.
“Who are you?”
Damien stopped, looking down at her with an indifferent gaze.
Lilian’s heart skipped a beat.
This man was even more handsome and charismatic than she had imagined.
