Five Years Wasted Now They Beg Her Back novel Chapter 143

At Grace’s sharp questioning, the color drained from Cassian’s and Lucian’s faces.

All their pretenses, all their calculations, were torn to shreds by her words, left exposed for all to see.

Humiliation, shame, and the anger of being found out surged through them.

Looking at their expressions, Grace found it utterly ridiculous.

She bent down and picked up the Share Transfer Agreement from the table.

Then, before their astonished eyes, she tossed it into the air.

The pages scattered, fluttering down around their feet like snowflakes.

"I have no use for this scrap paper."

"And you can stop the act. It’s tiring to watch."

She straightened up, her indifferent mask back in place.

"For grandfather’s sake, I’ll give you a piece of friendly advice."

"Instead of kneeling here begging me, you should spend your time figuring out how to make a living with your own two hands."

"Don’t let grandfather’s life’s work truly turn into a pile of scrap paper in your hands."

With that, she turned and walked toward Damien without a backward glance.

Damien hadn’t interfered the entire time, just watched her quietly.

Now, he stood up and naturally took her hand, his eyes filled with undisguised admiration and affection.

Cassian and Lucian remained kneeling on the floor, staring at the scattered agreement, then at the retreating couple.

The two of them stumbled to their feet and left the villa, completely dejected.

Only Dorian was left in the dining room.

He stood there, looking at the papers all over the floor, a bitter expression on his face.

"Dorian."

Grace’s voice suddenly came from behind him.

Dorian stiffened and turned around.

Grace and Damien hadn’t left; they were standing nearby, watching him.

"Sit down," Grace said, gesturing to the dining table.

"Have something to eat with us."
