Five Years Wasted Now They Beg Her Back novel Chapter 356

Wilson's eyes flickered, but he stubbornly stuck his neck out. "Of course! This is my life's work!"

"Alright."

Grace nodded, took a remote out of her pocket, and clicked a button.

The presentation on the large screen switched instantly.

Scanned images of dense experiment logs appeared on the screen, one after another.

"These are my experiment logs from four years ago."

Grace's voice was calm but powerful. "Every page is time-stamped, and every set of data has its original records. Even the coffee stain I accidentally dripped on it is still there."

She pointed to one of the images. "On October 24th, four years ago, at three in the morning, I spent a full forty-eight hours in the lab to get this set of data. I accidentally knocked over a solvent at the time, which is the source of the anomalous fluctuation in this data set."

"Professor Wilson, since you claim you collected this data two years ago, could you please explain why your data also contains this anomaly caused by a 'spilled solvent'?"

Cold sweat beaded on Wilson's forehead. "Th-that could be a coincidence..."

"A coincidence?"

Grace scoffed and pressed the remote again.

A video appeared on the screen.

In the video, Wilson was sitting in a high-end restaurant. Across from him was a woman whose face was pixelated, but her figure was strikingly familiar.

Although it was impossible to hear what they were saying, the motion of the woman handing Wilson a check was so high-definition you could count the zeros on it.

Immediately after, an audio clip played.

[Ms. Cross, this is very risky... that's Grace...]

[Five million dollars.]

[Done!]

The color drained from Wilson’s face as he stumbled back, his knees nearly buckling beneath him.

The reporters in the audience erupted.

[Holy crap! This is explosive!]
