Five Years Wasted Now They Beg Her Back novel Chapter 361

As soon as Grace came downstairs, she saw her grandmother sitting in the living room, watching TV.

The business news was on, and the clip playing was of Grace’s sharp comeback from the forum the day before.

“Oh, my! Our Grace is so impressive!”

Her grandmother was grinning from ear to ear, pointing at the TV and telling the nearby housekeeper, “Look, that’s my granddaughter! She’s much smarter than any of those so-called experts and professors!”

Seeing Grace come down, her grandmother quickly waved her over. “Grace, come here! That young man from the Clarke family made you a special soup. It’s still warm in the pot.”

A wave of genuine warmth washed over Grace as she crossed the room to pull her grandmother into a tight embrace.

“Grandma.”

“What’s wrong? Were you exhausted from yesterday?” Her grandmother stroked her hair. “Why are your eyes a little swollen?”

“It’s nothing. I was watching a sad movie last night and cried.”

Grace didn’t want her grandmother to know the cruel truth.

Her grandmother was getting old and couldn’t handle the shock.

“Oh, you child.” Her grandmother patted her hand sympathetically. “Don’t work so hard in the future. We have a good life now; we don’t have to bow to anyone.”

“I know.”

Grace nodded firmly. “Grandma, from now on, I’ll make sure you live the best life possible.”

After finishing the soup, Grace drove to the office.

Just as she arrived, she saw a red Ferrari parked arrogantly across the main entrance of Graceline Technologies.

Amelia was leaning against the car door, wearing sunglasses and holding a slim cigarette. She looked a bit haggard but still projected an air of command.

When she saw Grace’s car, Amelia threw her cigarette on the ground, stubbed it out with her heel, and strode over.

“Grace, you’re cold. I never thought you’d take down a seasoned player like Wilson.”

Amelia took off her sunglasses, revealing a pair of bloodshot eyes. “You even managed to ruin an old fox like Wilson.”

Grace got out of her car, crossed her arms, and looked at her coldly. “You flatter me. Compared to you hiring someone to kill me and all your other dirty tricks, this is just self-defense.”

“Don’t get ahead of yourself.”
