Five Years Wasted Now They Beg Her Back novel Chapter 377

Grace looked down at the GPS tracking system on her phone.

The screen showed that her grandmother's location was still at home, and her heart rate monitor was normal.

She quickly dialed Daniel’s number.

“Daniel, where's my grandmother?”

“She’s outside, sunning herself. Me and the guys are on watch; not even a fly could get in. Don’t worry, Miss Hart.”

Hearing this, Grace let out a long breath of relief.

Grace calmed herself and looked at the text message.

The old Hart family estate...

It held all the nightmares of her childhood.

The dark basement, never having enough to eat, the beatings from her brother, and her father’s indifferent gaze.

“Trying to lure me over?”

Grace didn't reply to the message. Instead, she forwarded it directly to Damien.

Then, she changed into practical athletic wear and tied her hair into a high ponytail.

“If you want to play games, I'll raise the stakes.”

She grabbed her car keys and went downstairs alone.

The old Hart family estate was located in the western suburbs. It had long since been abandoned after being seized during the Hart family’s bankruptcy.

It was overgrown with weeds, and dead vines crawled up the walls, giving it a particularly sinister feel.

Grace parked her car in the courtyard and pushed the door open to enter.

“I’m here.”

Her cool voice echoed through the empty hall.

“I knew you’d come.”

At the top of the second-floor staircase, Ethan slowly descended.

But now, looking at him, she felt not even a ripple of emotion.

“Ethan.”

Grace cut off his tirade. “You seem to have gotten something wrong.”

She took a step forward, looking him straight in the eye.

“I didn't ruin you. You ruined yourself.”

“You were the one who chose to believe Lilian. You were the one who signed the consent form to take my bone marrow. You were the one who chose to trample my dignity underfoot.”

“I gave you chances. For five whole years, I gave you countless chances.”

“Even on the day my leg was broken, if you had just looked back at me, if you had just asked if it hurt, I wouldn't have left so decisively.”

“But you didn’t.”

Grace pointed to her heart. “I just stopped loving you. I stopped loving you and took back the privileges I gave you, and you think *that’s* me ‘ruining you’?”
