Five Years Wasted Now They Beg Her Back novel Chapter 481

“I want to investigate this myself,” Grace said suddenly.

The line went silent for a moment before Damien’s indulgent voice came through. “Go ahead. Tear her world down if you have to. I've got your back.”

After hanging up, Grace turned and went back to the room.

Ivy had stopped crying and was just staring blankly at the ceiling.

Grace thought for a moment, then dialed another number.

“Elliot Ashcombe.”

A man’s slightly excited and somewhat hesitant voice came from the other end. “Grace? Is that you? Why the sudden call?”

“I need to ask you for a favor,” Grace said, getting straight to the point. “Something’s happened to Ivy. I was hoping you could come over and keep her company.”

“Ivy?” Elliot paused. “What happened to her? I saw something on the news... Is it true?”

“She was scammed,” Grace sighed. “It’s too complicated to explain over the phone. If you’re not busy, could you come to the Clarke residence? Right now, she doesn’t trust anyone but me. You can help her understand the legal side of this and keep her from spiraling.”

In truth, Grace had an ulterior motive.

Elliot was a good, honest man who had been single for years. And while Ivy could be loud and boisterous, she had a kind heart.

Since that Lucian Chow was a scumbag, it would be better to let a genuinely dependable person take his place.

“Okay! I’ll take leave and come right over!” Elliot agreed without a second thought.

After making arrangements for Ivy, Grace grabbed her coat and headed for the door.

“Grace, where are you going?” Ivy asked, her voice hoarse.

Grace looked back and said calmly, “To settle the score.”

She sent a message to her secretary and soon received the address for “Mantech Solutions.”
