The Summit Restaurant was a rather upscale revolving restaurant in Jarrow City.
When Grace arrived, Felix was already waiting at the entrance.
“Mrs. Clarke.”
Felix spotted her and immediately approached. “Mr. Clarke has sent several teams to find Lucian Chow, and the police have officially opened a case.”
Grace nodded. “Thank you.”
Just as they were about to head inside, the revolving door began to turn.
A group of people walked out.
When Grace saw the person leading the group, she froze. It was Ethan.
Ethan was wearing a dark gray woolen coat, his hair combed meticulously. Although he looked a bit tired, he exuded a vibrant energy, a glow of success.
Over the past half-month, Ethan had landed several renovation contracts through Serena. The clients, eager to start work early in the new year, had paid their deposits upfront, making his bank account look healthy for the first time in a long while.
He looked at Grace, paused for a moment, and then adopted a gentlemanly demeanor she had never seen before.
“Grace.”
Ethan was the first to speak, his whole manner gentle and polite. “Long time no see.”
Hearing her name on his lips sent a jolt of pure revulsion through her.
She almost forgot she was there to settle accounts with Serena.
Looking at the man she had once loved so deeply, she found the situation almost laughable in her daze.
“Mrs. Clarke.”
Seeing Grace frozen, Felix stepped forward and discreetly positioned himself in front of her.
“Mr. Clarke is waiting for an update,” Felix reminded her in a low voice.
Grace snapped back to reality, the dazed look in her eyes vanishing instantly. She started to walk inside.
“Wait.”
Ethan sidestepped, blocking Grace's path.
