“Where is he now?”

“He left after paying the bill. But he specifically asked us to take good care of you.”

After the nurse finished her check-up and left, Grace held the tube of ointment, feeling a sense of bewilderment.

Grace checked herself out of the hospital that same day.

As soon as she got home, she saw Dorian and Lilian discussing one of Dorian’s new paintings.

Seeing her, Lilian immediately rushed over. “Grace, you’re back!”

Then, she turned to Dorian, her voice full of pleasant surprise.

“See, Dorian? I told you she wasn’t the type to cause trouble. It’s a good thing you came back last night, or you would have wasted your time.”

Remembering what happened, Grace instinctively clenched her fists.

“But...” Lilian’s eyes scanned her up and down, and her tone shifted. “Grace, how did your wounds get treated so well?”

Her gaze then fell on the ointment in Grace’s hand, and her mouth fell open. “This ointment is incredibly effective, but a single tube costs a fortune, and it’s almost impossible to find on the market. Grace, how did you get it?”

“With some dirty tricks, of course.”

Lucian’s sarcastic voice drifted down from upstairs. “Pretending to go to the landfill to find that stupid piece of paper, trying to win our sympathy, only to sneak off to get your wounds treated. Grace, your tactics are getting more and more disgusting!”

Dorian also frowned in disapproval. “Grace, I know you suffered a lot growing up away from us, but that has nothing to do with Lilian. You shouldn't take your anger out on her. You are both our sisters, and as long as you behave, we will treat you both the same.”

Grace felt as if she had heard the world’s biggest joke.

Treat them the same?

He had just been easily manipulated by Lilian into blaming her.

His gentle words were like a dull knife, each one a painful, killing blow to her heart.

“Why are you wasting your breath on her?!”

Lucian walked down the stairs, his face etched with disgust.
