Five Years Wasted Now They Beg Her Back novel Chapter 9

She had also posted a few pages of project manuscripts and research notes.

The comment section was filled with people cursing her and praising Lilian.

[Anyone who's written a research paper knows how hard it is. For Grace to copy it word-for-word is just disgusting!]

[Academic fraud is a disgrace! Grace should be kicked out of academia!]

[Lilian is too kind. Her hard work was stolen, and she’s still willing to forgive.]

[Exactly. If it were me, I’d want to kill Grace.]

The blood in her veins ran cold.

She had only ever discussed the paper with Ethan.

And only Ethan knew the password to her files.

Grace, overwhelmed with emotion, called Ethan.

No one answered.

She kept calling, again and again, until finally, she was met with the cold, automated voice saying the phone was off.

Grace glanced at the time. It was when Ethan would be heading to work.

Without hesitation, she rushed to the underground parking garage of the Ward Group.

Spotting the familiar white Bentley, Grace hurried over.

Through the car window, she saw Ethan and Lilian sitting in the back, looking cozy together.

Lilian was happily eating a pastry, and a bit of cream had smudged the corner of her mouth.

Ethan’s eyes softened as he gently wiped it away with his thumb.

Grace bit her tongue.

The taste of blood filled her mouth as she stepped forward and pounded on the window.

Ethan lowered the window, his expression annoyed.

“My paper. Did you give it to Lilian?”

Grace got straight to the point, her stubborn eyes red-rimmed.

Faced with her near-hysterical state, Ethan merely frowned, his tone indifferent. “It’s just one paper.”
