“I studied psychology, not fortune telling. How would I know what kind of person she is? Bonnie says she’s good, so she must be good,” Sam replied, rolling his eyes. He really wasn’t in the mood to deal with someone who couldn’t think straight because of love.

Harrell didn’t care about his attitude. When he saw Sam getting ready to leave, he tugged on his sleeve, lowering his voice. “Hang on, let me show you something on social media.”

Sam caught the hint of mischief in Harrell’s eyes and sat back down, taking the phone from him. His eyes widened as he scrolled through the post.

“Wait, what? Cathleen and Earl are together?!”

Laurinda, sitting in Bonnie’s room, heard Sam’s outburst loud and clear. She couldn’t help but laugh. She’d just seen the post herself. Someone was definitely going to have their heart broken tonight, and she found it way too funny.

Laurinda quickly explained the whole messy situation between Sam, Cathleen, and Earl.

“See? No one’s going to wait around forever. If you really care about him, don’t let go. Be brave enough to fight for your own happiness, no matter what.”

Bonnie took a deep breath, her face suddenly serious. “Alright. For my happiness, I’m willing to take the risk.”
