As if sensing my defensiveness, Steven's tall frame loomed over me, backing me up against the cold wall. I tried to sidestep him, but he placed a hand on the wall beside my head, trapping me. I glared at him. "What are you doing?"

A bone-chilling smile glinted in Steven's eyes. "I won't smash your phone again," he said calmly. "If that cripple gets into any more trouble, you'll just worry about him, and that will only annoy me. So go ahead, answer it. What if it's an emergency?"

I didn't trust him. He looked exactly like he was about to smash my phone. "I'll answer when you leave."

This was getting weirder and weirder. Steven was acting like he was possessed.
