I Walked Away And He Lost His Mind (Zephyra and Steven) novel Chapter 632

A wave of dizziness washed over me, and my head lolled to the side, hitting the soft pillow with a thud.

After about ten minutes, just as my body felt limp and I was about to drift off, I felt fingers gently pinch my cheek, and a low voice cut through the haze.

"Zephyra, wake up."

I smelled the savory aroma of beef and my eyes flew open. Steven was holding a plate of stir-fried noodles topped with tomatoes, mushrooms, beef, and green peppers. It was clear he'd put a lot of effort into it; the sauce smelled incredible.

My eyes practically glowed with hunger. I struggled to sit up, looking at Steven excitedly. "Did you make this?"

Steven's face was impassive. "Yes. Eat."

I was truly starving. I grabbed the fork and dug in like I hadn't eaten in days, devouring every last bite.

It was unexpectedly delicious.

My face lit up with happiness as I looked at him. "This is so good! Thank you, honey. I thought you were ignoring me, but you went and cooked for me yourself. You're the best!"

Steven saw right through me and gave a cool smile. "Oh? So I'm not a monster anymore?"

My mouth was stuffed, my cheeks puffed out, and my bright eyes twinkled with a smile. "Not at all, not at all."

Just a little petty.

And he holds a grudge.

Unlike me. I never hold grudges.

"But, weren't you super rich before? How did you get so good at cooking?" I asked. It made sense that a housewife like me would learn to cook and bake to win over a man's heart, but it was strange that Steven knew his way around a kitchen too.

I asked shamelessly, "Will you… cook for me regularly?"

—"Steven, I hate you! I despise you!"

—"Steven, you have no right to cook for me!"

Steven's eyes darkened slightly as memories surfaced, his expression turning cold. "You used to hate my cooking."

It wasn't just dislike. It was the kind of hatred that would make her flip a table even if the food was already at her lips.

I froze, finding it unbelievable.

The noodles Steven made were fragrant and delicious, a true feast for the senses.
