I Walked Away And He Lost His Mind (Zephyra and Steven) novel Chapter 820

I glared at Steven, annoyed. “In your dreams! You don't even care about your own body, why would anyone else waste their time worrying about you.”

The thought of him standing in the rain for hours still made me angry.

Hearing this, Steven didn't get angry at all. Instead, his smile deepened. It was the first time I'd seen him smile so brightly, completely stripped of the commanding aura he wore in the business world. He looked more like a real, flesh-and-blood person.

He opened his arms and pulled me into a hug. I wanted to push him away, but thinking of his injuries, I didn't dare move too much. I just grumbled softly, “Let go of me. Keep your hands to yourself!”

My voice was quiet, but full of complaint.

Steven held me tighter, his gentle voice coming from above my head. “Zephyra, I know you're worried about me. You still have feelings for me.”

I remained silent, a sense of helplessness washing over me. You really can't hide feelings. Even if your mouth stays shut, your eyes betray everything.

Steven clearly took my silence as agreement and said happily, “Let's get back together, okay? Zephyra, let's get married and watch our child grow up together.”

Hearing that, my expression shifted, and I gently pushed him away. “No. Don't push your luck!”

Steven took my hand, his gaze tightening. “Why not? You obviously still like me, and being together would be better for the baby.”

I looked at Steven. “I haven't made up my mind yet.”

Steven seemed anxious. “What is there to think about? We like each other, so we should be together.”

I shook my head. “Getting together is the easy part. It's the future we have to consider. Too much has happened recently. I don't want to make a rash decision. That's being responsible to our relationship.”

“You need to let me think.”

I knew I couldn't agree right now. If I did, he would immediately start pushing for us to get a marriage license.
