I Walked Away And He Lost His Mind (Zephyra and Steven) novel Chapter 843

Rachel and I paused our fight, but neither of us let go.

The stout man was about to step inside when the driver's voice called out. He answered, "It's nothing, they're just fighting."

The driver called him over, and the stout man reluctantly closed the door.

The moment the door shut, Rachel started yanking my hair again. The pain on my scalp made me grunt, and I twisted her arm hard in response. Rachel immediately shrieked; you could tell she was in a lot of pain.

In the end, Rachel didn't get the upper hand at all; she just ended up getting beaten.

After the fight, we both calmed down considerably and ended up sitting hunched against the wall together.

Wiping a trickle of blood from her nose, Rachel gave a wry smile. "I never would've guessed. You fight so viciously, I almost thought you were trying to kill me!"

I didn't say anything. I had actually gone easy on Rachel. If I'd fought her the way I fought Thomas and Mary, she'd be needing an ambulance right now.

Rachel suddenly laughed. "You know, if you'd been this tough sooner, your father and Aunt Janice never would've been able to bully you."

I glanced at her, casually fixing my hair. "If it were possible, I'd want to go back to middle school, too."

Rachel asked curiously, "Why? So you could beat up your dad while you were still a minor?"

I looked at her, my gaze firm. "He's not worth it."
