“A good child doesn’t hit anyone. Nina, you didn’t behave like a good child this morning.

“You hit Daddy, so now Mommy has to discipline you.”

After giving her a warning, Amelia gently tapped Nina’s little hands a few times.

When Nina hit Benjamin earlier, she had done it gleefully.
