According to Daniel, Nina saying “I’m so mad!” meant she was finally speaking full human again.

Even William, trailing behind Benjamin, was stunned by her sudden complete sentence.

“Nina, are you mad?”

After slaving over dinner for Benjamin only to be rejected, Nina nodded solemnly.

She repeated in a deadly serious baby voice, “I’m so mad!”

While Nina stayed mad, William was already over the moon, praising her.

She still wanted to feed Benjamin.

While William held her high, Benjamin quietly slipped away.

Once she finally wriggled free and ran looking for him, bowl in hand, Benjamin was nowhere to be found.

Nina marched through the house alone, turning the whole place into a one-girl parade.

William followed with a helpless grin-he hadn’t had this much fun in years.

In the end, Benjamin never tasted Nina’s masterpiece.

Amelia “ate” it instead.

She pretended to take big bites, then stealthily dumped the mud-and-leaf creation in the trash when Nina wasn’t looking.

Dinner solved, Amelia glanced at Nina’s muddy dress but didn’t change her yet.

Dinner was about to start, and Nina often got her clothe messy while eating.

Amelia thought that since she would bathe after the me anyway, there was no need to change her now.

So she just cleaned Nina’s chubby little hands and faced then placed her in her high chair.

She said, “Nina, today you feed yourself, okay? Mommy knows you can do it.”

Amelia had taught her ages ago.

But the moment the spoon hit her chubby hand, she flung it away.

“No!” She shook her head hard. “Feed me!”

William smiled, “Nina, come on-Grandpa’s feeding you.”

Nina opened wide the moment William brought the spoon.

Every single bite earned over-the-top praise. “Wow, Nina took such a big bite! So good! One more!”

William’s shameless doting made Amelia whisper to Benjamin, “Was he like this with you when you were little?”

Benjamin answered instantly, “No.”

He glanced at his father, still cooing over Nina, and added flatly, “When I was Nina’s age, I was already very independent.”

William overheard and laughed, “Amelia, Benjamin really was super independent. I have old videos of him in my room-want to see? I’ll grab them later.”

Amelia’s eyes lit up. “Yes!”
