Chapter 402 Really Not Being Good
Back at the estate, Nina was busy with her new baby. Meanwhile, Catherine, who hadn’t returned yet, was listening impatiently as William talked about Xavier.
He wasn’t asking for her help. He was telling her not to get involved.
Xavier’s operations had some connections to Catherine’s interests.
Catherine listened to him dispassionately, then stood up to leave.
Before going, she noticed Benjamin, who had come with William.
Her gaze lingered on Benjamin’s face for an extra second.
There were some features that reminded her of Sienna.
That was why she spared him an additional glance.
The Graham family was still searching for Nina, while Elizabeth stared at the stroller now empty of Anya, holding only a doll. As a mother, Elizabeth was on the verge of losing her mind.
“Tina, where is Anya?” Elizabeth demanded, her voice strained.
She had been helping search for Nina.
That search was already a nightmare, and now, before Nina was found, her own baby was missing.
I have the worst luck right now.
Tina, seeing Elizabeth’s distress, tried to calm her. “Mommy, no upset. I gave away Anya. She will give her back to me. Mommy, I’m a good girl, You say ‘good girl?” Tina asked, seeking praise.
Hearing that she had given Anya away, praise was the last thing Elizabeth wanted to give.
She said, “Tina. Anya is not a toy. You can’t give her to anyone.
“Who did you give her to? Quickly, take Mommy to find her. She’s your sister. We have to get her back right now.”
Elizabeth was frantic, but Tina stubbornly refused to give up Nina’s name.
She had promised to let Nina play with Anya for a few days.

It wasn’t time to take her back yet.
When Tina dug in her heels, she could be just as stubborn as Nina.
Elizabeth had always been a patient, doting mother to her children.
She had never raised her voice at Tina, never been truly harsh, and certainly never hit her.
But at this moment, Elizabeth felt her gentle resolve shatter.
“Tina, Mommy is very angry right now,” Elizabeth said, her face stern, expressing her anger plainly.
However, Tina didn’t understand. “Mommy, why angry?”
Tina thought Elizabeth should be happy about her keeping a promise, not angry.
Elizabeth took a deep breath, emphasizing, “She is your sister. You cannot give her away like a present.”
Tina huffed, insisting, “She’ll give her back.”
“Which child?” Elizabeth pressed. “Which friend did you give Anya to?”
While Elizabeth was interrogating her, Benjamin and Amelia arrived.
Since Nina had gone missing while with Elizabeth, she had been actively involved in the search as an apology.
Her home had become a meeting point.
Amelia, consumed by her own worry, initially had no energy for Elizabeth’s apparent meltdown.
But seeing Tina on the verge of getting punished, she walked over and, forcing her own emotions down, tried to mediate.
“Tina is still little. You should try to talk things through with her calmly,” Amelia suggested.
After hearing this, Elizabeth pressed a hand to her chest, which ached with stress. “Tina gave Anya away to someone. Anya is so tiny. How could she do this?”
Elizabeth was truly beside herself. “She gave Anya to another child. I’m trying to find out who, but she won’t tell me. I’m at my wits’ end.”
Anya was just an infant. The thought of her out there, who knew where, going through who knew what, was terrifying.

Hearing the full story, Amelia agreed it was serious.
She stopped trying to smooth things over between them.
Instead, she turned to Tina. “Tina, who did you give Anya to? Anya is very small. She needs
