The Abandoned Wife Dumped Him First (Victoria and Elias) novel Chapter 232

Genevieve stared at his resolute back, her eyes burning with a hatred so intense it felt like they could bleed. After a long moment, she drained her glass of red wine, then squeezed it tightly. With a sharp crack, the stem broke, and shards of glass dug deep into her palm, drawing blood.

She looked down, forcefully tore the bracelet from her wrist, and made a call. "You can release those things now," she commanded, her voice venomous.

Meanwhile, just as Elias stepped off the porch, Laurel rushed over, demanding, "Where's Gen? Did you leave her in there all alone? You're going to see that tramp Victoria again, aren't you?"

At her words, Elias's face turned to ice. He shot a look at the driver, who lowered his head, looking guilty.

The driver's lips trembled as he tried to explain. "Mr. Elias, I..."

"You're fired," Elias informed him without a shred of leniency. He then turned to Laurel, who was about to say more, and tossed out a cold parting shot.

"Until Grandpa comes back, I won't be returning here. I don't want to see the same trick pulled a second time. Otherwise, I'll find a quiet assisted living facility where you can spend the rest of your days in isolation."

Laurel stared in disbelief, then shrieked, "Elias, I'm your mother! You'd send me to a retirement home for that tramp!?"

But the Maybach was already speeding away, leaving her fuming in its dust. Elias had paid her outburst no mind at all.

Late that night, in Genevieve's apartment, torn clothes were scattered across the floor.

Henry was in the room with her, the atmosphere thick with passion.

Their encounter lasted for an unknown amount of time. Afterward, Genevieve lay limp and drenched in sweat on Henry's chest.
