The Abandoned Wife Dumped Him First (Victoria and Elias) novel Chapter 414

As Genevieve Vale threw herself into Elias Shawn’s arms, his gaze remained frosty. With a cold look, he subtly sidestepped her.

"Elias..."

Genevieve registered his movement, her pupils constricting. Before she could react, she could only watch as she stumbled forward.

At the door to the hospital room, Hawk had just walked in. Before he could even get a clear look at the scene, he found himself with an armful—he had caught Genevieve, who let out a silent sigh of relief.

But a moment later, Hawk seemed startled and abruptly stepped back.

Genevieve’s feet slipped, and with a sharp cry, she fell hard onto the cold floor.

The fall sent a tearing pain through the wound on her shoulder blade. Her vision swam with black spots, and a cold sweat instantly broke out across her forehead.

Victoria Sanger turned around. Her gaze lingered on Elias for a moment before shifting back to Genevieve. She began to advance, step by step.

Seeing this, Genevieve tried desperately to stand, but her legs felt weak and useless.

Victoria’s figure grew larger and larger in her vision, like a terrifying specter coming to claim her soul. Overwhelmed by fear, Genevieve’s body began to tremble uncontrollably.

Ignoring the pain, she used her hands to scramble backward across the floor, her voice hoarse and desperate. "Stay away! Don't come any closer! Ah!"

But Victoria seemed not to hear her. Her pace was steady, each step feeling as if it were landing directly on Genevieve’s heart.

In Genevieve’s eyes, she was an executioner, holding a knife and slowly carving away at her body and soul. The endless torment brought her to the brink of collapse.

A mixture of pain and terror made Genevieve feel like she was about to pass out. In a final, desperate act, she reached out and clung to Elias’s pant leg, begging through her tears, "Elias, Elias, please save me! Save me! Victoria’s lost her mind! She’s really going to kill me!"

Just as she finished speaking, Victoria was upon her.

Genevieve stared in horror at the switchblade clutched in Victoria’s right hand. The blade was smeared with her own blood, a glaring crimson. The thick, metallic scent filled the air as blood dripped from the edge, one drop at a time, onto the floor.

Genevieve’s breath caught in her throat. "Elias, save me!" she continued, her voice choked with sobs. "Have you forgotten how I saved you five years ago? You said you owed me your life! Are you just going to stand there and watch Victoria kill me?"

At the mention of "five years ago," Elias's eyes darkened, his expression growing complex. But he remained silent.

"Elias..." Genevieve persisted, calling his name over and over, trying to stir a shred of pity in him.
