The Best Revenge It Wasn't Even Your Child novel Chapter 526

Lance leaned back in his chair, eyes closed, letting himself sink into a rare moment of quiet.

As soon as Aaron finished talking, Lance’s phone started ringing. He glanced at the screen. Harrell.

“Lorinda just came in for a DNA test,” Harrell said. “She gave me two strands of hair.”

“Got it,” Lance replied.

So, Latonia had gone to see Catherine and Lorinda, probably to confirm her relationship with Lorinda. That just left the matter of Adela.

“Catherine hasn’t reached out to you?” Lance asked.

“No. If she does, I’ll tell you right away,” Harrell answered.

Lance grunted. “I’m hanging up.”

“Wait,” Harrell added quickly. “Lance, your mother spoke to me.”

Lance’s brows drew together. “About what?”

“She wants to bring Adelina to Eldervale. Asked me to give Adelina a check-up.”

“Did you agree?” Lance asked.

“I had no choice,” Harrell said. “She used the Lane family as leverage. With them involved, I couldn’t refuse.” There was frustration in his voice. No matter his friendship with Lance, he wasn’t much in the eyes of the James family. And Belinda was never one for sentiment.

Lance rubbed his forehead, sighed, and muttered, “Okay,” before ending the call.

He turned to Aaron. “Find out what the Green family is up to this time.”

Ten minutes later, Aaron was back.
