Chapter 211
3rd Person’s POV
Tiara’s words struck like a whip across them-sharp, unrestrained.
For a moment, silence rippled outward.

Cora’s eyes shimmered, fury barely contained beneath the polished surface of her smile. Jude looked on with mild amusement, though a trace of displeasure lingered in his gaze. Rowan, however, did not hide it -his expression darkened, his wolf stirring with clear disapproval.
“How could you say that, Tiara Ashcroft?” Cora snapped, her composure slipping for a fraction of a second. “How dare you?”
The edge in her voice sharpened-then vanished just as quickly, her mask sliding back into place.
“It’s fine,” Jude said smoothly. “There’s no need to force her if she doesn’t wish to visit.”
Tiara didn’t bother responding. With a scoff, she caught Lylah’s wrist and pulled her away, unwilling to waste another second in their presence.
But the interruption had cost them.
The seats were now filled, claimed by eager spectators drawn in by the rising excitement. The only ones left… were the very seats nearest to Cora and her circle.
A low growl built in Tiara’s throat, her wolf bristling in protest.
Lylah simply placed a calming hand on her shoulder. “It’s fine,” she murmured.
Reluctantly, Tiara sat.
The event began soon after-cheers rising, applause echoing, petals scattering across the field as riders prepared to take the arena. The air pulsed with energy, thick with pride and competition.
Lylah tried to focus on the spectacle before her. And for a moment, she managed.
But voices carried easily among wolves.
“So she’s the daughter your parents adopted and Rowan’s former lover?” Jude’s voice drifted over, thoughtful.
“Yes,” Cora replied lightly. “But that’s all in the past. Lylah and I are on good terms now.”
“Cora, can you stop lying?” another voice cut in.
Lylah’s gaze flicked sideways.
Orion stood beside Cora. She hadn’t even noticed his arrival.
“You and she aren’t fine,” he continued, his tone laced with contempt. “Not when she’s still disrespectful,

still envious of you, and always trying to bring you down.”
He leaned closer to Jude, lowering his voice. But not enough.

“Let me tell you, sir. Back then, Lylah chased Alpha Rowan relentlessly without a shred of dignity. She disgraced my parents. Disgraced Ironcrest name. And now she’s with another male using the same tactics. Throwing herself at whoever will take her. She has no self-worth or pride at all.”
The words were meant to provoke.
But Jude didn’t react as expected.
Instead, he regarded Orion evenly. “Isn’t she also your sister?” he asked. “You shouldn’t speak of her that
way.”
“Orion,” Cora said softly, though a warning threaded beneath her tone. “Lylah is still our family.”
“Family?” Orion let out a harsh laugh. “No. I don’t consider her that.” His voice rose, carrying.
“She’s nothing but a burden. Always has been.”
Lylah didn’t react.
Not a flinch. Not a word.
But someone else did.
Tiara turned sharply, her eyes blazing. “A burden?” she echoed, her voice cutting through the noise like a blade. “You mean the same ‘burden’ who stepped in when you were being bullied at school as a helpless pup? The one you used to trail after everywhere? The one who knitted your scarves and patched your clothes?”
Orion’s face flushed instantly.
“And now you stand here, running your mouth?” Tiara continued coldly. “If I were you, I’d think twice before speaking again, little boy.”
A ripple of laughter spread through the nearby crowd.
Orion stiffened, humiliation burning through him.
Cora’s gaze darkened, her hand curling tightly at her side.
And then-
A phone rang.
