The Billionaire's True Heiress: From Fake Jewel to Real Crown novel Chapter 90

Everyone made their way back to the office. Bonnie was still there, going off at the dean.

She kept blaming the school for not protecting her son, saying he got beaten up and was scared out of his mind.

“What kind of students are you letting in here? Every parent is a barbarian.”

“Look how terrified my poor boy is.”

“Dean, I donate so much money to this school every year. Is that just so my son can end up bullied?”

The dean barely got a word in before Edison showed up at the door. He gave a couple of knocks, acting all polite.

“Back again?”

Bonnie turned and saw Edison. Whatever she was about to say died on her lips.

“My niece says your son still hasn’t apologized,” Edison said, smiling.

Bonnie felt a chill run through her. She gave her son a shove. “Apologize. Now.”

Jasper looked miserable. He kept his eyes on the floor and mumbled at Claire, “Sorry.”

“What was that?” Edison’s face made it clear he wasn’t impressed.

Bonnie smacked Jasper on the back of the head. “Speak up. Did you forget how to talk?”

Jasper, still stinging from the smack, swallowed his pride and said louder, “Sorry!”

“Sorry to who?” Edison prompted, even though Claire hadn’t said a word.

“Claire, I’m sorry. I shouldn’t have talked to you like that. I know I was wrong. Please don’t…” He didn’t finish the sentence, but in his head, he was begging Edison not to go after him.

He definitely did not want to be the boy who lost his manhood.

“Shy?” Edison glanced at Jasper.

Jasper didn’t hesitate for a second. “I’m not shy. I can apologize in public. It was my fault. I should say sorry.”

Bonnie just stared at her son, completely at a loss. She felt like he’d embarrassed her more today than in his whole life.

The dean, seeing everyone had agreed on the punishment, decided his job here was done.

“Alright then. He’ll give a public apology during tomorrow’s big break.”

“Tomorrow?” Jasper blurted out, clearly shocked. Three thousand words by then? That was insane.

“If you can’t finish, you could always have your parents help out,” Edison said, pretending to be considerate. “If the kid’s out of line, it’s the parents’ responsibility anyway.”

“Maybe the parents should reflect too, see if they’ve really done their part…”
