The Mocked Miss’s Hidden Crowns novel Chapter 2114

Just fantastic.

Kenneth and Emily were acting just as sickeningly sweet over in their seats.

"..."

He wanted to jump out of the plane!

At three in the afternoon.

The private jet touched down at Cabinda International Airport.

Exiting the terminal, the group headed straight for the Gates Family estate.

They had heard about The Great Baby War that had recently erupted between the Gates and the Blairs. After a fierce debate, it was decided the twins would alternate houses every single day.

Today was the Gates Family's turn.

As soon as they stepped through the front door, they were greeted by the sound of adults cooing and the soft, innocent babbles of the babies.

"My baby's home?"

Spotting Charlotte, Nora immediately handed Frederick over to Robert, who had been anxiously waiting, and jogged over to her daughter.

"Didn't you say you'd stay a few extra days?"

Nora took her hands, looking her up and down to ensure she was perfectly fine.

"Yeah." Charlotte offered a faint smile, touching her mother's cheek gently. "There wasn't much to do, so we came back early."

"You missed the babies, didn't you?"

Nora saw right through her, eyes crinkling with a warm, maternal smile. "They are so well-behaved, much easier than you were. When you were little, you cried so loud that..."

"Ahem!"

Hearing her mother about to expose her childhood antics, Charlotte quickly interrupted. "Let's go check on the babies."

"Mhm."

Anthony nodded, a doting, indulgent smile playing on his lips, choosing not to call her out.

The older generation always said that once babies hit their one-month mark, they grew like weeds.

It was true.

The twins were barely three months old, yet they were already taller than average.

Mentally, they were far more alert and active than other infants their age.

They were already babbling, trying to form words.

The couple stepped up to the bassinet, looking down at the babies stretching their little limbs, lounging freely on the soft mattress.

Perhaps recognizing their parents' voices, both turned their heads simultaneously.

The moment they registered who was standing there, their joyful expressions froze. Their little lips quivered, and massive, dramatic tears threatened to spill over.
