The Prison-Made Queen novel Chapter 800

Besides, if she approached him and pissed him off, it could lead to unnecessary drama. Why risk it? In a club like this, there was always another guy looking to buy a drink.

The sensible ones in the group kept their distance.

But there was always someone arrogant enough to think she was the exception to the rule.

A woman in a shimmering sequin dress, her makeup utterly flawless, picked up her glass and sauntered over to Milford's table. Hitting her most flattering angle, she leaned seductively against the edge of his table, offering a practiced, sultry gaze.

"Hey handsome, drinking alone is so boring," she purred, her voice dripping with implication. "Want some company?"

Milford didn't even lift his eyes. He stared at his glass and spat out two words.

"Get lost."

The flirtatious smile instantly froze on her face, quickly melting into sheer indignation. She prided herself on her looks and her body; she had never been turned down in a club before. This was a humiliating first.

She looked him up and down, letting out a harsh scoff. "Fine. If you want to be a loner, be a loner. There's no need to be a jerk about it."

What a miserable bastard. She had a line of guys waiting to buy her a drink; she didn't need to beg for this guy's attention. Rolling her eyes dramatically, she spun on her heels to storm off.

Not far away, a guy with bleached-blonde hair had been watching the entire exchange. Seeing the woman walk away looking pissed, "Blondie" immediately assumed Milford had insulted her.

Eager to play the hero, he shoved past his friends and intercepted her. "What happened, baby? Did that guy disrespect you?"

Blondie had been desperately trying to sleep with her for weeks. Whenever she flirted with someone else, he made it his mission to start a problem.
