The Ugly Wife’s Stunning Comeback (Felicia and Max) novel Chapter 743

But there was absolutely nothing he could do to help.

Seeing Luke suddenly fall silent, Felicia asked in confusion, "Luke, you okay?"

Luke quickly masked his expression and smiled. "It's nothing."

He felt it was better to keep Felicia in the dark about Darin. The truth would only rub salt in her wounds.

Felicia was suspicious. His reaction just now definitely didn't look like nothing.

"Then I'll go with you when the time comes. I'm about due for a proper vacation anyway. I've been exhausted lately, so a trip there would be a good way to relax."

Felicia sighed in mock dismay. "It must be nice being the boss. I have to go there to work, and you get to go for a vacation. I suddenly feel a little bitter about this."

Luke laughed. "Then why don't you quit and come work for me?"

The two joked around.

The atmosphere during the meal was exceptionally relaxed.

During dinner, Felicia went to the restroom. Her stomach had started cramping, a sign that her period was about to start.

She stood at the sink, washing her hands. As she pulled a paper towel from the dispenser, she glanced up and saw a figure appear behind her in the mirror. Acting as if nothing was wrong, she dried her hands and tossed the crumpled paper into the trash.

She turned around.

Andrea was standing right behind her, glaring.

Felicia ignored her completely and started to walk away. Andrea suddenly reached out and grabbed her wrist, squeezing hard. Felicia's face darkened, and she fixed Andrea with an icy stare. "Let go."

Andrea met Felicia's gaze, a sneer of utter contempt pulling at her lips. She raised an eyebrow and spat, "Felicia, I never realized you were such a cheap slut."

Felicia's expression turned glacial. She violently yanked her hand free, raised her arm, and delivered a sharp slap across Andrea's face.

Smack!

A crisp, echoing sound rang out.

Andrea let out a shriek, her eyes wide with shock as she clutched her stinging cheek.

"Your mouth is as filthy as ever."
