When My Ex's Worst Enemy Became My Sanctuary novel Chapter 365

Latham sat in the car, grinning as he texted Wade. Dorothea glanced over, instantly suspicious. That smile almost always meant he was stirring up trouble.

“Babe, do you think Wade and Patrick have something going on?” he asked.

Dorothea’s eyes went wide. “Wait, seriously?”

There was a spark of gossip in her voice, curiosity flickering. “Are they actually together?”

But if memory served, Wade always seemed like the one in charge. And Patrick, who towered over most people, couldn’t possibly be on the receiving end. The image felt so off that Dorothea couldn’t quite imagine it.

Latham had a mischievous glint in his eyes. “Or, maybe Wade is actually the bottom. From what I know about Patrick, there's no way he'd ever agree to that.”

She suddenly remembered Aldin was still in the car with them. Talking about Wade like this right in front of him felt a bit much.

“It’s fine, really,” Latham said. “No need to guess. I’ll just ask Wade directly. We’re close enough.”

A sense of dread settled over Dorothea. Sure enough, her fears came true as Latham turned his phone screen toward her.

“Look.” He’d actually typed out, Wade, my wife wants to know, between you and Patrick, who's the top?

Wade’s reply was a silent string of dots.

The typing indicator pulsed. Nothing came through. Dorothea could only picture Wade on the other side, swearing at his phone.

Latham, clearly enjoying himself, blocked Wade for a full minute before unblocking him and sending, Sorry, lost signal just now. Got your answer yet?

Wade finally snapped.

If your eyes are broken, go get them checked. Who the hell told you there was anything between us? Latham, don’t insult me. I wouldn’t play bottom if my life depended on it.
