Power of Money novel Chapter 251

Looking at Jason eating the mushroom on the plate like a gentleman.

Then he helped Lusa to cut off the root of the mushroom on her plate. Belinda looked at Jason with disbelief. She thought Jason only knew the fried sausages in cheap restaurants, how could he know so well about these high-end dishes?

"The mushroom has a smoked taste, but it's not very strong. Moreover, it has the flavor of the mushroom itself, which tastes surprisingly good."

Jason said, and then separated the mushrooms on Lusa's parents' plates. Then he wiped his hands with a paper towel, picked up the cup and took a sip of water.

Horace was stunned and quickly followed Jason's example. He helped Belinda and her mother to cut the mushrooms, the way he looked at Jason was even more different.

"Sir, how would you like your steaks done?"

After the appetizer, the waiter came to clean up the tableware and asked the next main meal politely.

"Medium please. I'm used to eating some raw. Only in this way can the beef show it's original taste." Belinda said proudly as if she was eager to perform.

"Then I also want medium, just like my daughter." It was the first time for Belinda's mother to eat Western food, and she knew nothing about steak, but she still wanted to show off in front of Lusa's family, so she hurriedly followed her daughter's words.

"What about uncle and aunt?"

Horace didn't say anything, but cast his eyes on Jason. Jason smiled and turned to Lusa's parents.

"Well..." Lusa's mother hesitated for a moment and said, "What is medium? Does that mean 50 percent cooked? Will that be too raw? How about... 80 percent cooked?"

Lusa's father also said, "Well, me too."

"Puff!"

Unexpectedly, as soon as they finished speaking, Belinda laughed out loud.

"Haha, 80 percent cooked? What are you talking about? We don't say that in western food! We only say 'Rare, Medium-Rare, Medium, Medium- well and Well-Done'. It's really funny. This is a Michelin restaurant. It's too embarrassing to say this in such a high-end restaurant!"

Belinda's words made Lusa's parents blush.

They had never eaten Western food.

At most, they've watched people eating Western food in the TV series.

This had nothing to do with their consumption ability. It was because they were old and came from the countryside, they repelled these foreign things in their hearts. But they didn't expect that after considering seriously, they were still laughed at by Belinda.

Belinda's mother also complained, "Yes, if you don't understand, you can ask. Don't pretend that you understand and make people laugh at you. You can order the same way as me. Everyone is eating like this. Why can't you eat like this?"

Lusa's father hesitated for a moment, then turned to look at Jason and said, "What do you think?"

Jason was also surprised. He didn't expect that Lusa's parents would take the initiative to ask him.

"What kind of beef did we order?" Jason asked the waiter.

"Formosan beef, sir. You only have to choose the way to cook your steak." The waiter explained.

Jason nodded and said, "Then we'd like four well-done steaks, thanks."

"Okay, what about this gentleman?" The waiter turned to look at Horace.

"Well, well-done too, please." Horace thought for a while and said.

"Okay, please wait a moment."

After the waiter left, Belinda turned her head in confusion and looked at Horace. She asked, "What's wrong with you? It's okay if they don't understand. But why you act like it's your first time to come here? Well-done steak? Only the people from the countryside who eat steak for the first time will order this okay? Or do you want to follow them in this way, because you don't want them to be embarrassed?"

Although Belinda was talking to Horace, she was talking about Jason and Lusa's family that they were all from countryside and ordered well-done steak in such a high-end restaurant.
