Power of Money novel Chapter 27

Jason followed the stretcher and was stopped at the entrance of the operating room.

Seeing the metal door closed and the operating light suddenly lit up, Jason took out a cigarette from his pocket and put it in his mouth.

"Sir, this is a hospital. Please don't smoke."

A nurse came up and reached out her hand, indicating Jason to hand over the cigarette.

Jason, with a cigarette in his mouth, glanced at her. "I won't light it. You don't have to worry about me."

"I'm sorry, sir. Please hand over the cigarette. This is the hospital. Please don't disturb our work." The little nurse insisted.

"How can I affect your work?" Jason said expressionlessly.

"You think that I don't know? Once I leave, you will definitely light it. Which room are you in? Why haven't I seen you? Are you a relative of a doctor or a nurse? I tell you, this is the hospital of St De. If you..."

"You can leave now."

Jason looked out of the window quietly and interrupted the nurse.

"What's wrong with you? Can't you understand human language? I asked you to hand over the cigarette, or I'll call the security guard to throw you out!"

While the nurse was talking, she heard heavy footsteps behind her. Then she turned back and hurried to greet them with a smile on her face.

"Director Wu, here you are. I don't know where this patient came from, but he insisted on smoking here, and he doesn't listen to my persuasion. You should check if there is someone here who privately put his family members into the hospital. If other patients see it, it will be big trouble!"

Director Wu was a middle-aged man in his fifties, wearing a white coat. He frowned when he heard the little nurse's words. When he saw Jason, who was holding a cigarette, his face suddenly changed.

"You leave first. I'll fix this."

After saying that, Director Wu waved his hand and walked quickly to Jason's back.

"Young Master, why do you stay up so late? The air is cold at night. Don't catch a cold."

Director Wu lowered his voice for fear of disturbing Jason, who was lost in thought.

Jason did not speak, staring straight at the blank night outside the window.

His mind was full of the scene that Emily lying in a pool of blood.

She knew that as long as she asked, Jason would definitely help her.

But why would she rather choose to end her young life than mention this to him?

Jason sighed softly, only to find that there was a fire in front of him.

"Director Wu?"

He was slightly surprised, and then he saw Fred Wu's respectful expression.

"Young Master seems to have something on his mind."

Fred Wu put the flame to the cigarette. Jason hesitated for a moment and took off the cigarette from his mouth.

"Director Wu, this is a hospital. Not only did you not stop the patients from smoking, but you lit it up. Have you considered the feelings of other patients and medical staff?"

When they turned around together, they saw the nurse step forward angrily and grab the lighter in Wu's hand.

Wu was stunned.

He was the dean of the hospital.

Jason was the young master of this hospital.

There were hundreds of people in the entire hospital, all of whom were paid by the Shen family.

What did it matter if he lit a cigarette for Jason?

If he hadn't come across this opportunity, he wouldn't have been able to do it even if he wanted to.

"Do you know who he is? Mm? Helping him smoke a cigarette is not a big deal. Even if he lit this hospital, you and I can only watch and give the lighter to him. Do you understand?"

Fred Wu glared at the nurse and said angrily.

"But..."

The nurse wanted to explain, but Fred Wu interrupted her angrily. "Leave us here. Go to the head nurse and apply for a shift. In the next half year, you will be on the night shift and guard the equipment warehouse. Don't let me see you again!"

The nurse didn't expect that doing her duty had made her fall into such a situation.

Tears welled up in her eyes.
