Power of Money novel Chapter 32

Jason, who had returned to the hospital, did not know what had happened at the hospital gate. He walked directly to the outside of the ICU unit and looked at Emily quietly.

At this moment, Emily was still lying on the bed with her eyes closed. Her perfect face was pale, and the breath pipe inserted into her nose and mouth seemed to be so shocking. She was completely lifeless.

"Simon Lin..."

Jason repeated the name silently.

Including the meeting in DIO Coffee, he would have seen this person twice if he had left a little earlier in Royal Roily.

There was not even a conversation between them.

However, the name was like a thorn deep in his heart.

"Young Master, you came to see her."

Fred Wu appeared behind him in accordance with the timing and said in a low voice.

Jason turned his head, looked at him for a moment silently, and then asked, "Did you find out what Emily did before jumping off the building?"

"I came to report this matter to you," Fred said, "Emily received a phone call before she entered your ward last time at 10:50 p.m. yesterday. The phone call lasted about five minutes or so. After leaving your ward, she went straight to the third floor. And to be honest. She was very determined when she jumped off the building. Without any hesitation, she opened the window and jumped down."

"What did she say on the phone?" Jason asked.

Fred's face was bitter. "I saw this video from the surveillance video, and I couldn't hear any sound..."

"No sound..."

Jason suddenly fell silent.

He thought that Emily jumped off the building because her parents forced her to resign and marry Simon Lin.

But now it seemed that there were other factors?

"Was there no one else around her at that time?" Jason thought for a moment and asked.

"Well, because the rooms on the third floor are mainly the medical and the instrument room. Except someone may go upstairs to get things, no one will be there for the rest of the time. What's more, it was very late at that time. I really can't find any witnesses." Fred said with embarrassment.

Jason nodded and said, "Okay, I know. Thank you, Director Wu."

However, seeing Fred still wanted to say something, Jason asked, "Is there anything else?"

"Well, although I know that something may not let you know at this critical moment, considering Emily's subsequent operation progress, even if you are angry, I have to report it to you truthfully."

Fred bit his cheek into a straight line and said bluntly, "Just three hours ago, I visited some nurses and doctors in the hospital and inquired about Emily's situation. As a result, everyone told me the same thing. And this will affect her operation."

Jason frowned. "What else can't you say at this time?"

"Yes, and this is related to Emily's personal life. I heard from many nurses that Dr. Li asked her to go to the office alone more than once. Every time Emily came out of the office, there were signs of crying. We don't know the specific situation. Anyway, there are many rumors about Dr. Li pursuing her in the hospital."

"Dr. Li? Is Dr. Li who is holding a consultation for Emily?" Jason asked.

"That's him."

"Okay, I see."

After saying that, Jason turned around and left.

Regardless of whether Dr. Li had pursued Emily before, he had reasons to believe that Dr. Li would definitely try his best to complete Emily's next operation now. He was not very worried about this.

As for whether he had troubled Emily or threatened her, it would be clear when Emily woke up.

Back in the ward, Jason saw a white figure buried in the head of the bed and cleaned up the bed for him.

For some reason, Jason's heart skipped a beat. He almost blurted out the word "Emily".

"Young Master, you're back."

Hearing the door open, the nurse stopped her work and turned around with a smile.

"It's you?"

Jason was slightly surprised.

The little nurse in front of him was the girl who tried her best to stop her from smoking on the second floor last night.

The little nurse was not surprised at all. She bowed to Jason respectfully and said, "Young Master, you have been busy all morning. Do you need to rest now?"
