Power of Money novel Chapter 34

In ICU, Jason saw Emily who had just been pushed out of the operating room.

The oxygen pipe in her nose had been removed, and her head was tightly wrapped with gauze. Her skin looked even more bloodless after the operation, but her eyes had opened slightly.

Although his eyes were hollow, they were more lively than before.

"Mr. Qin, Ms. Xia's three blood clearing operations are very successful. Next, we only need to continue to complete such a perfect performance during the brain restoration surgery. I believe she will get a complete recovery!"

Doctor Martin, under the explanation of the interpreter, stated the effect of the operation to Jason.

"How long will the next operation take?" Jason asked softly, staring at Emily.

"We are already preparing for tonight's operation for Ms. Xia. I believe that the miracle will shine on her together with the sun tomorrow morning." Doctor Martin said excitedly.

"Thank you."

As the schedule was tight, after the explanation of the operation, Doctor Martin immediately left the ward and led the team to prepare for the operation tonight.

When Jason was alone in the intensive care room, he squatted beside the bed and gently held Emily's hand. He murmured, "Sleep well. When you wake up, you will find that what happened before is just a nightmare. Life will be as good as you imagine. You don't have to worry about being bullied by others anymore."

After that, Jason stood up and wanted to go out.

However, he suddenly felt that her hand, which he had just loosened, moved a little like an illusion.

Shock filled his mind in an instant.

Turning back silently, he saw Emily slowly close her slightly opened eyes. A teardrop dripped from the corner of her eyes and slid down her cheeks.

The Flourishing Age was a high- end apartment district near the center of Nandu. Jiangnan was the most developed province in China, and Nandu was the most developed capital city in Jiangnan. So it was not difficult to imagine that buying an upscale apartment here was the ultimate dream of a young man who was striving for success.

And this place was very close to St. De Hospital. Jason arrived by walking.

Standing at the door, he scanned at the advertisement wall with telephone numbers.

There was a large apartment with three bedrooms, and it cost seven thousand and five hundred per month.

After thinking for a while, Jason called.

Twenty minutes later, the landlord went to Jason with his bag.

The landlord was a fat woman in her forties, with a face looked mean and a very expensive bag in her hand. When she saw Jason, she frowned and asked, "Are you going to rent a house?"

The clothes and watches bought a few days ago, Jaon had asked Mary to take them home. He was still wearing his worn jeans and gray t-shirt. It seemed very inharmonious at the entrance of such a high- end community.

"Yes, it's me." Jason said.

"What are you doing to rent a house? Are you cheating?" The landlord glanced at Jason with a scrutinizing look.

"No, I am a student of Nandu University. I am going to graduate soon and work nearby. I just want to rent your house." Jason explained.

"Student? Show me your student card and working certificate. Where are you working? What's the name of the company?" The landlord asked again.

How could Jason carry a student card with him when he went out, and his things were still left in the hospital. He said, "Can't you rent a house without these certificates?"

"Of course. Who knows what you rent the house for. Now those who are doing pyramid selling schemes are pretending to be serious. Anyway, if you rent it, you should pay rent for one year first and then pay for a deposit of 30,000 yuan. If something happens, you can consider it as compensation for me."

Upon hearing this, Jason finally understood what the landlord meant.

She must thought Jason was doing something bad as he dressed ordinary to rent a luxury house.

Was she worried that the police will rush into the house and take him away, and then she will lose her face?
