Purchased A Mr. Right novel Chapter 1970

...

Mia avoided his gaze. "In the self-study room, my phone is muted."

Her eyelashes fluttered unnaturally- she was not good at lying.

In fact, she didn't want to answer his call.

She was afraid that he called to ask about her abnormal behavior. After all, she didn't think she had the right to question him about that.

Desmond, 1.85 meters tall, stood timidly in front of her like a scared child who had done something wrong. He asked carefully, "Did you hear my conversation with Tina last night?"

Mia paused and nodded. "Yes."

She explained, "I didn't mean to eavesdrop. I happened to hear you after going to the bathroom..."

"We were joking!" Desmond hurriedly said.

Mia looked at him in silence.

Desmond impatiently grabbed a handful of curly hair from his head and put on a severe expression.

"It's not a joke. I indeed liked Tina. I admit it." Desmond said earnestly, "But it was all in the past. I no longer liked her before we got married, and I won't like her anymore in the future. For me, she's a friend and my cousin-in-law!"

Desmond told her how he got to know Tina and wanted to win her heart to provoke Wilson.

He told her many humiliating things to show his loyalty, including how he once regarded Abby as his goddess.

He didn't want her to misunderstand and wanted her to know that everything was in the past.

Everyone had unbearable memories.

Desmond dared to speak out his bitter old memories because all of this was no longer important for him.

Mia was immediately relieved.

She believed in him.

She kept silent for a few seconds before saying in a muffled voice, "Desmond, I don't want to make rice porridge anymore."

Upon hearing the conversation between Desmond and Tina by accident, she recalled their conversation about rice porridge before the meal and vaguely figured out what was going on.

"Sure, sure!" Desmond immediately said, "Do whatever you want. I'll eat whatever you cook, even the pig feed. Is that alright?"

Mia burst into laughter.

She said softly, "That's for pigs. I won't cook it."

When Desmond saw her smile, he was suddenly enlightened. She looked as beautiful and delightful as a tree in bloom under the sun.

They had a meal at a restaurant, and Desmond sent her back to school.

This time, Desmond parked his car in front of the school gate.

They walked along the shady path and passed by many students with books in their arms.

Also, there were many couples in love like them.

In a corner not far away, a couple who were reluctant to part with each other were kissed each other before saying goodbye.

Desmond retracted his gaze.

Mia, beside him, pointed forward and said, "The teaching building is there. I'm going in. Be careful on the way!"

Desmond pulled her back. "Wait."

Mia was puzzled.

She looked over and heard him say, "Give me a kiss before you leave."

"No!" Mia was embarrassed. "There are so many people here..."

Desmond took her hand and walked to a lush tree. He pressed her against the tree with a mischievous smile. "Can we do it now? No one will see us here."

The shade of the tree hid them in darkness.

She looked around and said in a low voice, "Just a brief kiss please."

Desmond was overwhelmed by his cute wife.

Cupping her face, he couldn't wait to kiss her.

Her lips were so soft and sweet.

He was willing to stop even after a few kisses.

At the last minute before the class, Mia finally managed to get into the classroom. As soon as she sat down, the professor stood on the podium and was ready to call the roll.

Aubree was still sitting next to her.

Seeing Mia panting with a smile, she came over and asked, "Have you reconciled with your husband?"
