"Come with me, love."-

Adrian stretched his hand to me, calling for me and of course, I will go with him!

I love him. So much to the point that I could go against all odds for this one man.

Unlike Augustus, Adrian is kinder and more respectful toward me always. He came into this mansion without caring about the danger roaming around his head, how can I not go with him?

I looked at Beta Mateo, he is highly alert for some reason, staring at me in disbelief. But I don’t care.

Yeah, I lied to him about bringing the food to Augustus because I wanted to run. Yet, there is no need, I can only run away with my Adrian now.

Without thinking for a second, I stepped forward happily to my Adrian. The man I love and wanted to spend my whole life with.

"No, Luna. Don't do this. Don't go with him." I heard Mateo's warning voice behind me, yet didn't care.

However, I couldn't reach Adrian, when suddenly, I was pulled back. I shouted, and I struggled.

Adrian tried to come to me but a few guards caught him, dragging him out.

"NO! Please don't do this!" I gasped when someone throw me over his shoulder like a potato sack.

"I am sorry, Luna. Alpha's order. He listened to your words just now." Mateo said as he started walking with me over his shoulder as if I weigh nothing!

Though I know I am nothing before his strength, especially without my wolf, it never stopped me from struggling.

And a few later, he put me on the ground. I tried to run away but he was fast to do something to my leg. A click sound happened and he started moving away from me.

Shocked, I looked down at my feet only to gasp. He... Locked me with chain! Immediately after I realised, he locked me in the dungeon!

"Luna, go upstairs." Mateo's alarmed tone thrust me back to reality.

Yes, I was zoned out in my previous life. That time, I was a fool to think Adrian is my love and tried to elope with him, as a result, locked up in the dungeon.

At that time, I thought, Augustus is a beast. A sadist. A psycho for torturing me and locking me up. Maybe, he is a bit cracked. But, my actions were not something that could be justified either.

In my previous life, I never realised how Adrian could get inside, managing all the guards. I didn't question it, nor I realised that I couldn't just walk away with him because this is a guarded mansion and Adrian is only here to provoke Augustus and create a misunderstanding between us. He never had any intention to take me with him.

How foolish I was to not even realise these simple facts before my eyes!

I glanced at Mateo's tensed face and then at the phone in his hand. At that time I didn't know that right now, Augustus is on the phone, hearing everything.

And even without my wolf, I could sense his burning rage. He is thinking I will leave him. But, this is my golden chance to prove to him that I am not playing any tricks when I wanted to meet him.

I turned my gaze to Adrian, who is eagerly watching me with his hand stretched.

Last time, I was happy but now, this fakeness disgusted me. It's so creepy if I think more!

"So, you want me to leave with you?" I asked and surprised by my own tone! It's so calm even in this messed up situation.

Adrian nodded, "Yes, come with me. I love you."

Yeah, love you my foot. What a fake fucker.

My blood is boiling inside, yet I didn't lose my calm and shrugged. "But, why would I leave with you? I am doing fine in this pack. Well, more than fine if I have to say. Why ruin happiness by leaving with you?" I said matter of factly, giving him a lifetime shock.

Adrian of course didn't expect these words from me and sadly enough, not Mateo, nor Augustus. I could sense that at least.

"Ch...Charlotte, what are you saying?! You can't say that!" Adrian spoke finally, somehow digesting the shock, maybe.

He stepped forward carefully. "I don't know what happened to you all of a sudden. Baby, you can not just believe him! Augustus is a psycho with a paranoid personality! Do you forget how he tortured you? Baby, don't be a fool. Come with me."

I sneer bitterly in my mind. Fool he said? Well, I was but not anymore.

I shook my head, taking a step closer to Mateo. "I don't think you are right, Adrian. Augustus was only angry because I was at the fault. Moreover, I enjoyed my time here in this pack and with him. You can leave, you know."

"Charlotte!" I heard the anger and impatience in Adrian's tone, which he is trying to suppress. "You are doing it wrong. Living with him will only degrade you, Charlotte. Listen..." However, I cut him in the middle as I turned to Mateo.

"Please take him out."

Mateo blinked, shocked to the feet and then nodded, ordering the guards to take Adrian out.

Well, he is still in shock, but I have said I won't betray this time, haven’t I? Just keeping my word...
