Bonnie's face turned ugly, her lip clenched, unable to utter a word.
Once again, I looked at the vanity table, the leftover high-end skincare products and perfumes, most of their lids were off.
Wherever Bonnie touched, it felt like it's been contaminated by some disgusting virus.
I chucked all the skincare products and perfumes into the bin, and let the servants deal with it in front of everyone.
"Irene, don't be so harsh, Bonnie was just trying them out, she's never used them before, it's normal for her to be curious!" Cooper couldn't stand it.
Neil kept his silence, just giving me a deep and inscrutable look, observing my every move.
"I'm sorry, Irene." Bonnie's eyes were red like a rabbit's.
"Bonnie, you don't need to apologize, it's my fault for bringing you guys here."
Cooper coldly said, "Neil, aren't you going to say anything? Aren't you and Irene divorced?"
Bonnie looked at Neil expectantly, hoping he would speak up for her.
Neil obviously saw the slap mark on Bonnie's cheek, a slap that I put most of my strength into.
"Why can't she live here?" Neil finally spoke and it made my heart go cold.
"Are you short on houses? You know I decorated this place with care, it's my five years of effort and emotion. You actually let Bonnie move in and trample on my efforts, really?" I took a deep breath, struggling to control the pain and anger in my heart.
"If you've already let go of me, you should also let go of the past emotions, we should always look forward." Neil coldly looked at me, speaking lightly.
The man who used to cling to me seemed to have sobered up these days, his attitude towards me had changed significantly.
Bonnie, seeing Neil on her side, immediately perked up, "Yeah, Irene, we should always look forward. There's no point in clinging on."
Was I the one clinging on or was she? Bonnie's counterattack was fierce.
I felt calm watching Neil protect Bonnie, something I had a hunch about. I just lost the interest to fight with them anymore.
I took out my phone and opened the news from tonight, questioning Neil, "Did you do this?"
Seeing the content, Neil's face immediately turned ugly, his sharp gaze turned to Bonnie.
From his eyes, I already knew who was doing it. Bonnie looked at Neil innocently, "Mr. Whitmore, what's going on?"
"Nothing." Neil answered flatly.
"It was Bonnie who posted it, wasn't it?" I felt extremely desolate, after ten years, and a rebirth, I still didn't see Neil clearly.
Neil said, "She must have accidentally used my phone to send it, I'll have someone take care of it. It won't bother your life anymore."
I wasn't even allowed to touch his phone before, but now Bonnie could play with it freely.
Even Bonnie could browse his gallery to find those photos, then register a stranger's account to smear me.
I might be crazy to think that Neil had feelings for me a while ago.
"Are you sure it was unintentional?" I stared into Neil's eyes.
"Yes, I'm sure." Neil paused, then replied.
