Reborn, Reawakened, Rekindled novel Chapter 213

Russel fell silent again, which brought my mood down too.

In the end, he promised me seriously, "I'll do my best to convince them."

I felt pretty knackered. I knew well the attitude of the Dawson family towards me, and I believed that Russel would do his best to persuade his family, but I still felt worn out.

When I married Neil, he didn't love me, but his family liked me very much and supported our marriage.

Now I was with Russel. I knew he loved me, but his family didn't like me one bit.

"Uh huh." After a while, I responded.

I didn't tell Russel about the business. If he knew, he would definitely conflict with his parents.

After the video call ended, I lay in bed with a chaotic mind. I almost didn't sleep all night.

The next morning, I went out with dark circles under my eyes, feeling exhausted all over. When I drove past Neil's house, I glanced at it. There was no one in the yard.

Didn't he come back last night? He should have tried to appease Bonnie.

I decided not to think about Neil.

When I arrived at the company, I found many people standing in the hall. It was very lively. There was still half an hour to work, so everyone was not in a hurry to go upstairs.

Someone noticed me coming and immediately focused on me. Their expressions varied.

One of my colleagues ran over and whispered to me, "You'd better take the stairs. Don't take the elevator."

"What's up?" I was somewhat puzzled.

Just then, an angry voice rang out.

"Irene, you homewrecker!" Kate Aaron appeared in the crowd. She was furious, pointed at me and cursed loudly.

Everyone turned to look at me. Many people knew who I was.

"I'm not a homewrecker. Kate, why are you causing trouble in our company?" I didn't expect Kate to be so bold as to make trouble at my workplace.

Kate's face twisted. She came up to me and then said to others, "This woman is your boss's daughter and also Neil's ex-wife. After divorcing Neil, she went to seduce Neil, who already had a girlfriend. If this is not a homewrecker, what is it?"

Others looked at each other, clearly both wanting to watch the excitement and not daring to make irresponsible remarks in front of me.

Kate really didn't care about anything for Bonnie, but her behavior was just crazy!

"Where's the security? Get this nut job out of here!" I exclaimed loudly.

Soon, the security rushed out. I pointed at Kate and said, "Get her out! Whoever lets her in again will have to face the consequences!"

Kate glared at me. Seeing the security coming to grab her, her emotions became more and more excited, "Irene, you're just jealous of Bonnie, so you want to destroy her love with Neil! You're just a pathetic worm!"

I looked at Kate coldly. I never understood why she was willing to be an unnoticed supporting character?
