Reborn, Reawakened, Rekindled novel Chapter 245

I was instantly left speechless, not wanting us to be seen by others.

But the thought of being dragged in like this was even less appealing. Taking advantage of the liquid courage, I suddenly raised my hand and slapped Neil.

"Smack!"

The sound of the slap was piercing. Neil immediately stopped in his tracks. He looked down at me in his arms, his whole body shaking with anger. "Got brave after a few drinks, huh? Don’t regret it later."

Before I could react, Neil already strode into the villa.

Everything inside the villa remained the same as it was two years ago, even the smell in the air. As I looked at the familiar decorations, my feelings were mixed.

Being tall and having long legs, Neil had already carried me to the master bedroom on the second floor while I was still in a daze.

Returning to this bedroom that I had personally decorated after more than two years, I couldn't help but feel a pang of sadness.

Back then, I was looking forward to my married life with Neil with a joyful heart, even shyly imagining our intimate moments in bed, and had a double bed specially made.

However, I ended up sleeping alone for several years, turning the 'double bed' into a 'large single bed'.

"Why did you bring me here?" I was placed on the bed, my strength drained by the alcohol. I had no choice but to ask while lying down.

Neil started to undress, removing his coat, then his sweater and shirt in front of me, without any hesitation.

Finally, he tossed his dirty clothes into a laundry basket, his muscular upper body bare. He then asked me vaguely, "What do you think? What can a man and a woman do when they're in bed together?"

"We've slept together before, haven't we? You don't need to force me now, do you?" I asked calmly.

"So, what are you going to compensate me for my hurt?" Neil stood by the bed, looking down at me. He scanned me from head to toe with his deep eyes.

His gaze was filled with primal desire, making my heart tremble. I didn't want to have anything to do with Neil anymore.

Was I supposed to repay him with my body for using him to provoke Russel just now?

I suddenly regretted it. Using anyone else would be fine, but using Neil was too much. The cost was too high.

"Neil, I…" Before I could say anything, I heard a knock on the door.

A maid's voice came from outside, "Mr. Whitmore, Ms. Tueley has barged into the villa. She's causing a scene in the living room. What should we do?"

Bonnie? Did she break in? I looked at Neil in surprise. Neil's face had already darkened.

He said, "I'll be right down."

After that, he went to the wardrobe to change into a set of casual clothes. He glanced at me, didn't ask for my opinion, and went down by himself.

I didn't want to join the drama, but I heard Bonnie's voice from outside the door. She sounded very agitated, "Neil, did you bring Irene back home? Why? What does she have that I don't?"

Wasn't she in the living room? Did she come upstairs?

I got out of bed and weakly walked towards the door, but then something unexpected happened. The door was pushed open abruptly, and I was knocked to the ground.

I couldn't help but cry out in pain. I was already feeling unwell, and this made it worse.
