Chapter 17 Turning the Tables

In the bustling shopping mall, Roslin could not help but draw attention with her clothes stained by the ice cream incident. Nonetheless, she paid no heed to the curious stares and casually strolled into a nearby store.

"Welcome." A flicker of surprise momentarily crossed the salesperson's eyes as she noticed the stains on Roslin's clothes, but her professionalism prevented any inappropriate expression from surfacing on her face.

The salesperson noticed the price range of Roslin's clothes and recommended it considerably. "Madam, we are currently offering a substantial discount in our store. Take a look at this piece. Its original price is 720 dollars, but now it's available for just a little over 405."

"Which clothes are on sale?" Roslin asked.

As soon as the salesperson heard that, she knew her marketing strategy had paid off. She promptly guided Roslin toward the discount area. "All the items on these racks are currently on sale."

"What else is on sale?"

"These items here, and these as well. Over there, you'll find the new arrivals for this year," she added while pointing enthusiastically to another section.

"Besides these, I'm not interested in white or elegant styles. Please pack everything else for me."

The salesperson was taken aback and asked hesitantly, "Madam, just to clarify, are you saying you want all those new arrivals to be packed?"

"Is there a problem?"

A bank card was handed to the salesperson.

Seeing the bank card in front of her, she shook her head repeatedly. "No problem at all."

Other salespeople turned their heads in their direction upon hearing the conversation, and the customers shopping in the discount area also glanced at Roslin. She seemed unassuming, yet she did something that left everyone astonished.

"Madam, would you like to change your clothes? Which one would you like to wear?"

Roslin pointed to the red dress.

She used to love warm colors, but she had compromised and started wearing white and elegant clothes to cater to Lucinda's preferences.

White felt too cold to her.

On the other hand, red was like sunshine that warmed her heart and brought a hint of warmth to her lonely nights.

As Roslin stepped out of the fitting room, the waiting salesperson stood there frozen while her eyes filled with astonishment.

It was just a simple red dress, yet it exuded a different feeling on her. Its clean lines accentuated her flawless figure while her long hair cascaded gracefully. Under the shimmering lights, her fair and delicate features seemed to emit a subtle halo.

The young girl possessed no extravagant possessions or excessive adornments. Her face remained untouched by cosmetics while radiating a natural and youthful glow. Her composed demeanor effortlessly emanated a captivating brilliance that demanded attention.
