This time Flavia was heading to the Aldridge Corporation to integrate her self-developed chip into their product program.
The driver was in the driver’s seat, while she and her two kids were in the backseat.
“Louis, you and your sister should play in the lounge, okay? I’ll take you guys home once I’m done, got it?”
Louis nodded, “Mom. I’ll protect my sister; she won’t be bullied. You can work in peace.”
“Such a good boy.”
Flavia ruffled his hair then kissed her daughter on the cheek. Her daughter’s cheek was soft and squishy, like a marshmallow. She couldn’t resist pinching it lightly.
“Mom, why are you bothering my sister?”
Louis immediately intervened.
Flavia looked a little guilty, “Well, Luna is just too cute. I couldn’t help it....”
Suddenly, the car braked hard. All three of them jerked forward. A loud crash followed.
“I’m sorry, Ms. Sanders. We seemed to have hit the car in front. I’ll get off to handle this.”
The driver apologized sincerely, then stepped out of the car.
Flavia checked on her two kids. They seemed to be alright.
But the usually quiet Luna suddenly grabbed the car door handle and pushed it. The door was slightly ajar.
“Luna, we are on the road, you can’t just open the door.” Flavia closed the door.
Luna pushed it open again. Taking advantage of Flavia's slow response, she dashed out of the car.
A man slowly got out of the car they hit. This was a tough man. He was dressed in a black suit, tall and straight. His face carried a serious demeanor.
The driver didn't know him, but his aura was hard to ignore.
His aura even seemed more intimidating than Blake, the head of the Aldridge family.
The driver stuttered, “I...we'll take full responsibility for this accident, sir. You….”
Jasper was stone-faced. He usually rode cars driven by private chauffeurs, but his chauffeur got sick today, so he had to drive himself.
To his surprise, he got into an accident not long after he left. He didn’t want to deal with this, but he had to. Just when he was about to speak, a little girl ran straight towards him and buried herself in his arms.
Jasper was taken aback.
He had a severe fear of germs and hated being touched by strangers. He quickly stepped back, trying to avoid the little girl. But each time he stepped back, the little girl would step forward, hugging his leg.
