The Aldridge Estate was a villa by the lake.

It was a quiet and scenic place, typically where the loaded folks hang out.

The servants politely led the way, and Flavia walked forward with her two kids.

“Flavia, you have finally returned….”

Julia had been waiting at the villa entrance for quite a while. When she saw Flavia walk in, she was a bit dazed. It was as if she was seeing her prematurely departed daughter. Her daughter had a hard life, full of ups and downs. Her granddaughter faced the same fate…

“Grandma….”

Flavia leaned on Julia’s shoulder, feeling a brief moment of peace.

If there was anyone in the world she still cared about, it was her grandmother. She lived in a small town abroad, but her grandma still managed to find her, and often tried to persuade her to return home.

She knew that apart from her grandma, most of the Aldridge family wasn't exactly thrilled to see her. So, she kept dragging her feet…

“Are these Louis and Luna? They’re such gorgeous children.”

Julia bent down and touched the kids' faces.

A smile appeared on Louis' face, “Grandma.”

But Luna retreated nervously, her face full of disinterest.

Julia was aware of the kids' situation. She sighed and said, “I’ve contacted the doctor, we will take Luna to see him in a few days.”

Flavia didn't have high hopes, but she nodded. She held the kids’ hands and followed Julia into the villa.

The Aldridge folks were all gathered in the living room. This was the Aldridge family mansion, inhabited by the direct kin of the Aldridge family. This included Flavia’s uncles and aunts, as well as her cousins.

“Mom, why did grandma call us back home today? What’s up?”

Nicole said impatiently.

She was Flavia's elder cousin, she was twenty-eight this year, and was married. Today she was specially summoned back home by her grandma.

Miranda took a sip of tea and said, “The old lady is getting older. I have a feeling the only reason she would call us back so seriously, is because of the will.”

“The will?”

Nicole’s eyes flashed.

She was married but was still called back home. Did this mean that she was also mentioned in the Aldridge family will?

Everyone else in the living room also started to speculate. They all cared about the will.
