Salute to the General novel Chapter 1772

Meanwhile, in the Southern District of Channing, Penny, Kylie, Benson, Leah and Queenie were all in the living room watching television while chatting.

Penny sounded surprised and said, “It's kind of strange. The Goldstein family is usually so domineering toward others yet it is baffling that they gave in this time.”

“Ms. Goldstein asked a lawyer to issue a legal letter to sue me this morning. However, she then showed up in the afternoon to apologize to me. Don't you think it seems kinda fishy?” Penny pondered.

Kylie smiled while said, “There is nothing weird about that. Nathan must have known that the Goldstein family had bullied you. Hence, he must have warned them. As a result, they were afraid and immediately rushed over here to seek your apology.”

Penny nodded her head in agreement, “I guess so. Otherwise, the Goldstein family will never ever submit to this.”

Upon mentioning Nathan, not only did Penny and Queenie feel proud but both Benson and Leah were also beaming with pride.

In conclusion, the entire family was proud of Nathan.

Nevertheless, there was a sense of melancholy arising within Kylie.

Nathan was the most impressive yet admirable man on earth that Kylie had ever met. Although Nathan's appearance was not very handsome, he was still easy on the eyes. The more she looked at him, the more pleasant he seemed.

Moreover, Nathan was calm when facing troubles. He was a man of integrity yet persevere nt in his dealings. All these qualities made her attracted to him.

She still remembered vividly that it was Nathan who rescued her twice in times of danger as he fought off those bad guys while carrying her to safety.

All qualities within Nathan had fulfilled her Prince Charming image since her childhood.

Unfortunately, reality was harsh. When she met Nathan, he was no longer single. Additionally, he had already become her cousin-in-law.

One will feel melancholic after a pleasant experience had waned away gradually just as how the beautiful flowers faded away slowly.

If I continue to live in a monochrome world without ever seeing the beauty of colorful flowers, I might be happier instead.

Kylie was feeling sorrow while gazing at the night sky through the window. Why am I fated to meet with Nathan who is such an outstanding man? Perhaps, I will not have such high hopes if I have not met a man as brilliant as him. Maybe I will just go for blind dates and simply look for a guy to settle down with? Unlike now, I am unable to simplyaccept another man now.

While Kylie felt gloomy yet depressed, Leah who was by her side suddenly recalled something. She then inquired instantly, “Kylie, aren't you having a date tonight?”She then reminded her,

“It is already seven in the evening and you are still not ready to go out?”

Penny curiously asked, “Eh, who is Kylie dating? She has a boyfriend now?”

Benson giggled while explaining, “Kylie has already reached the age of getting married. Although she is in no rush to get married, we as the elderly are feeling anxious for her instead.’’Benson mentioned again,
