Salute to the General novel Chapter 2512

He stared at Nathan and retorted coldly, “I remember you told me that you served in the North Army. So, you're an ordinary veteran, right? Hmph, it's absurd that a piece of useless trash like you would go after someone out of your league! Isn't it a fair thing for her to divorce you? You don't deserve Ms. Smith at all. Buddy, if I were you, I wouldn't be so thick skin and linger around. I'd be so ashamed for not knowing my place.”

Nathan replied, “You're in no position to judge whether I'm useless or if we're a blissful couple. As an outsider, you've got no right to criticize our marriage. One last thing, don't you dare to call me your buddy because my buddies are all distinguished and well-respected figures in the military. Who do you think you are to associate me as an acquaintance?”

Zyon bellowed, “That's sheer arrogance coming out from a kept man's mouth! As the Captain of the Peacekeeping Forces, I'm well received by the heads of each country. They always treat me with utmost respect and courtesy, but you said I'm unworthy? I'm a captain! Were you even a platoon leader when you were serving in the North Army?”

Nathan scoffed, “I'm afraid I'd disappoint you with my answer. Not only was I the leader of all platoon leaders, I was also the commander-in-chief of the entire military district.”

Zyon burst out laughing. “You? Commander-in-chief? You might as well say that you're the Chief Military Governor of Eurasia.”

Nathan cast a glance at him and replied in his usual calm composure, “Sorry, I was indeed the Chief

Military Governor of Eurasia.”

Instantly, the whole place fell into a dead silence, so much so that even the drop of a pin became audible.

Penny was terribly anxious by the turn of events.

Hank and Prudence were also stunned by how things had developed.

They did not know who Nathan truly was and assumed that he simply rebutted in a fit of anger.

Hank tried to appease the situation.

“Calm down, guys, calm down...”
