The Alpha's Phoenix Mate novel Chapter 4

" what's your name.?" The girl asked me.

" Kaira Smith. "

"Nice name. My name is Alison Gardner." She said and we continue walking in a comfortable silence.

" We are here." She pointed  to a nice and cosy house. It wasn't as big as the one I ran away from. But it was bigger than my old home that's for sure.

She opened the door and led me inside.

The floor was wooden with a welcoming aura. I was already loving this place.

" mom dad I am home." She called. Her parents were sitted in the kitchen and she led me there.

" mom dad meet Kaira. She is the girl I told you about."

" awww sweety." Her mom came giving a welcoming hug, " I am sorry you had to go through all that. Come sit with me." She led me to a sit in between her and her husband. I was scared at first that he would also torture me but surprisingly I felt calmness like I was protected.

" Do you want anything. Can I get you some dinner.?' The lady Mrs Gardner asked me.

" No its fine I already ate dinner." I said.

" are you sure."

"Yes Mrs Gardner." I said smiling a bit.

" Don't be silly from now on call me mum okay." I smiled at her I could feel she was really nice and would treat me better but I wasn't letting my guard down.

" mum." I said. I didn't know a tear had escaped my eyes till I felt Mrs Gardner er mum wipe it away. She gave another hug whilst rubbing small circles on my back.

" Don't worry I won't let anything happen to you. You are safe here." She said and it made me feel alot better. Finally I had found a home.

Alison took me to a nice and cosy room it wasn't as big as the one at new daddy's but it was really nice and cozy.

 "This is your new room you will be sleeping with me." Alison said.

There was a double bed on the middle with a wooden floor and matching curtains. 

There was a small closet but no bathroom.

" Thanks miss Alison. I really appreciate your kindness."

" Just call me Alison okay and from now on I will be your big sister okay." I couldnt help but smile.

She gave me some decent pj's since I left the ones I was given back there.

I change into them and slept on one side of the bed while Alison slept on the other side.

"Vuuuuuuu.." I head some noises and woke up.

I Looked at the clock on the bedside table and it was six thirty oh no step mum is going to kill me I'm late.

I ran out of the room and Into the living room to find Mrs Gardner er mom cleaning while Allison was in the kitchen preparing breakfast. Then realisation hit me.

I was no longer living with my step mom.

" Morning princess why are you up this early?." Mom asked

" I...uh.." I couldn't form any real words.

" never mind go freshen up and come back down to eat breakfast. Your dad will take you to start school today."

" school.?"

" Yes you are going to school." I was so excited I couldn't believe they took me in and most importantly send me to school. My life was becoming super cool and I couldn't wait to start learning.

I went to the bathroom and took a nice relaxing warm shower. Which was short though. I couldn't be late for my first day now can I.

I finished and went back to my and Allison's room to get dressed.

I wore some blue high waist ripped  jeans and a blue string top with a pink hoody on top.

As I was dressing up Alison came and started blow drying my hair.

She straightened it and letting it fall freely on my back

She didn't apply any make up on my face because and I  quoted ' a thirteen year old should never wear make up but embrace her natural beauty.' she was right I didn't have a thing for make up anyway.

She applied a little lip gloss on my lips and I was all done ready to go.

We headed downs stairs and mom who was done cleaning served me some breakfast.

It was pancakes with creamy tea since I wasn't allowed to Drink coffee.

" Good morning. " Dad said and sat on the chair next to me.

"Morning." I said with a tiny smile.

" So are you ready for school.?" He asked taking the cup of coffee mom handed to him.

" Yes." I said excitedly while he chuckled making me feel a little embarassed.

" Morning family." I heard a male voice

I looked behind and saw a boy about my age walking into the kitchen.

" who is she.?" He asked eyeing me curiously. He must have been asleep when I came here yesturday.

" this is your new sister Kaira. " mom  said.
