The Billionaire Who Stole My Heart novel Chapter 209

Playing the public opinion card and pulling the moral high ground card sure had become a popular trend. The dirty tricks just kept coming!

Gloria never thought that Susan, her childhood friend, would use the guilt trip to manipulate her dad. And Loraine, the girl she treated like her own kid, really showed her cunning ways.

"I got it." Gloria said.

Hudson followed Mr. Edgar out of the room. Mr. Edgar paused and gave Hudson an approving look, "You did well tonight."

Hudson had his own hidden agenda. He didn't really believe Mr. Edgar would lend his prized collection to Loraine. But to his surprise, the old man actually gave it to Brittany.

"Do you really want to take Ms. Dustin under your wing?" Hudson asked.

Mr. Edgar didn't even bother to hide his intentions, "She's got a special talent. She's got potential."

Hudson wasn't as keen on nurturing fresh blood as Mr. Edgar because he was afraid of losing opportunities. But Brittany's ability to win Mr. Edgar's favor showed that she had what it took.

He planned to dig into Brittany's background when he got back. If she really had talent, he didn't mind mentoring her. Doing so could win him brownie points with the old man.

......

Brittany was led away from the celebration by Hannah, but she didn't leave, and stayed put instead.

"Bri, aren't we leaving?" Hannah asked.

Brittany shook her head, feeling like she needed to thank Mr. Salter.

After waiting for about ten minutes, the man came out with Nathan following behind.

She'd seen him before.

"Mr. Salter." Brittany hesitated for a moment, then gathered her courage to approach him, her eyes clear as crystal.

Nathan was about to call her Ms. Dustin but a cold stare from Isaac made him changed his mind, and he obediently sat in a luxury car nearby.

"Ms. Dustin, not satisfied with the kicking from last time, you want to continue?" Isaac's words turned Brittany's face pale.

He wasn't going to settle scores with her, was he?

She swallowed nervously, "Mr. Salter, I was impulsive last time, but you wouldn't do that to me. Let's call it even this time, thanks for your help."
