Isaac arrived at the airport and found Nathan, who had been waiting for a while.
Derek was also there.
Seeing him arrive, Derek asked, "Everything sorted at the hospital?"
"Yeah, by tomorrow morning, I'll have someone escort the kidney back. You take care of her."
"Aren’t you planning on coming back?"
As soon as Derek said this, he thought of that little girl and sighed, "Isaac, you're already married to Brittany. Let bygones be bygones."
Isaac stood with his hands behind his back. Over the years, he had been silent about what had happened.
He never mentioned anything about that little girl.
Isaac knew he shouldn't be stuck in the past. That little girl had once experienced life and death with him.
In the hardest times, she was by his side. Over the years, he never gave up hope and was waiting for a miracle.
But twenty years had gone by, and there was no miracle.
She was lying quietly in the sea, being swallowed by the dark waters.
And maybe it was time for him to move on.
Isaac left with Nathan. Derek made a trip to the hospital but couldn't find Brittany.
When he found out Brittany had gone home, he didn't think too much of it. He took the elevator downstairs, got to the parking lot, and heard a scream!
...
Brittany hadn't expected that crazy woman to show up again. She even dared to attack her in the parking lot!
Brittany was caught off guard. She was quick and managed to dodge the first swing, but the woman sneered and swung several more times. Brittany couldn't dodge fast enough, and her arm was hit hard. The pain made her fall to the ground, and she was unable to move.
"It's because of you that Loraine is in the hospital!"
"And it was your husband who choked Loraine. Brittany, you're gonna get it!"
The woman bared her teeth, her eyes full of madness, as she raised the steel rod and slammed it down toward Brittany.
The strike came with a whistling wind and was very powerful.
Brittany instinctively used her hand to protect her head, waiting for the pain.
But nothing happened.
"Ah!"
"Boom!"
A loud noise echoed through the pain.
