She stepped out of the car, walked a few steps, and then turned back and said, "Zakky, even if you get canned, it's no biggie. I'm loaded now, and I can keep you."
Isaac chuckled. It was a new one for him; no one had ever offered to take care of him before.
"All right then, you better work your butt off. I'm not exactly low maintenance."
Brittany smiled and strolled into her studio, causing the receptionist to blush.
Ms. Dustin and her hubby are so lovey-dovey, even stealing a smooch before she got out of the car.
Isaac watched Brittany leave, then headed back to Grandeur Capital.
Nathan was waiting for him in the office. "Mr. Salter, I just got the scoop. Someone inside the company is snooping around about you. Want me to put a stop to it?"
Isaac guessed, "Is it Fiona?"
Nathan's eyes widened in surprise. "How'd you know?"
It was indeed Fiona.
Fiona had been with Grandeur Capital for a while now, a big shot in the branch office, rarely coming to headquarters, but she knew a lot of people.
Nathan found out Isaac was being investigated and quickly reported it to him.
"Warren won't play ball with our terms, so he has to take action here."
Isaac undid a button, letting out a breath. "Keep all my personal info under wraps."
Nathan didn't expect Warren to be so two-faced, polite on the surface but ruthless behind the scenes.
"Do you need me to do anything about Ms. Dustin?"
Would Warren try to tank Brittany's studio?
"Get someone to keep tabs on him."
Before leaving, Nathan gave Isaac a cautious look as if he had something important to say.
