The Billionaire Who Stole My Heart novel Chapter 293

When Brittany woke up, Isaac had already left.

With the end of the year approaching, many companies were working overtime, so Brittany reminded Isaac daily to eat well and keep warm.

She learned from Hannah that the Chester family had recently taken on some big orders, and Lionel was so busy that his day and night flipped. He hadn’t been home for half a month.

Winter had arrived, and the chilling winds began to invade.

It seemed like in a single night, the entirety of Imperial City was completely enveloped in the cold. Brittany received an unexpected guest.

Joie sought her out just as she had finished a business meeting with Wesley.

Once Wesley was gone, she noticed a black Ferrari parked outside.

The car door opened, and Joie, dressed in expensive clothes, slowly made her way over.

"I want you to design a piece of jewelry."

In line with the ‘customer first’ principle, Brittany invited Joie in and brewed a cup of coffee for her.

It was the first time Joie had visited Brittany’s studio, and she looked around with a hint of mockery. "Your studio... is bigger than I expected."

"We just set it up recently."

Brittany looked at Joie and asked, "What kind of jewelry would you like?"

Instead of answering directly, Joie glanced at Brittany's ring finger.

The diamond ring that once seemed unreachable in her eyes was now just ordinary.

Isaac hadn’t let her down and gave her an exclusive black card.

"Have you been doing well these past few years?" Joie's response seemed unrelated to the question.

"Very well."

"I'm also doing well." Joie smiled, "My fiancé treats me well. This piece of jewelry is for our engagement."

"Congratulations."

Brittany's congratulations contained none of the jealousy or surprise Joie had expected.

She clenched her fists in frustration. "I heard you took over the Dustin Group. If you need any help in the future, feel free to contact me." She paused slightly. "After all, you once said that we were best friends."

Brittany had lost her patience.

She truly considered Joie a friend in the past, but Joie ended up being the first to betray her.

She could understand Joie; after all she wanted to survive.
